Posted November 28th, 2009 and last modified December 21st, 2009

Balancing your work and life is a mean feat for just about anyone. These bloggers write about their methods, and tips to keeping your life in balance, and do a damn good job of it too!

With increased pressures we face at work these days most working mothers and dads find it a challenge to navigate the corporate mine field before rushing home to tend to the needs of their partners and kids.

It seems that by going more modern we have cut ourselves into the Achilles heel by taking away our freedom – the room to STOP, THINK AND CHILL. But you don’t have to be a parent to juggle the fine line of work/life.

Our selection of the top 10 most chilled work/life balance bloggers will give you insights into workable solutions to deal with the pressures of work and home.

Plus you’ll get a better sense of balance by learning what it takes to make your life a true fusion of work and play.

Introducing, our Top 10 Most Chilled Work/Life Balance Bloggers:

  1. The Juggle: This blog is fronted and staffed by the Wall Street Journal blog network and aimed at juggling professionals with kids at home. The blog offers readers an interesting fusion of work/life related topics to help make your life easier. Get your daily fix about parenting, workplace issues, commuting, care giving and other issues busy readers with families face.

  2. BlueSuitMom: Written by Maria Bailey, BlueSuitMom is aimed at the gazillion mom entrepreneurs and worker bees around the world. If you want to know how to become a queen bee then this blog is right down your alley
  3. Feld Thoughts: Feld is written by Brad, a notable entrepreneur with years of experience and a sound track record with his own companies. His about page reads like the life of a very successful businessman and I have a feeling Brad is exactly that. He certainly draws an eager, comment-friendly crowd on his blog where he shares thoughts, ideas, rants and tips with his readers. Being on the board of some 6 companies he certainly seems to know about work/life balance.

  4. Nine to Thrive: Nine to Thrive is a fresh perspective to the elusive work/life balance written by Michelle Goodman. Michelle covers some great aspects of work and play and I’m actually surprised her blog isn’t more popular with her readers in regards to comments left.

  5. The Anti 9-to-5 Guide: Yet another blog written by Michelle Goodman this one focuses on escaping the cubicle mindset while keeping the balance of work and play. A nice balance of posts (if you dig passed the home page) will quickly lead you into a wonderful world of running a successful business while trying to keep your sanity intact. Great tips for women (and men I dare say) who think outside the box (that would be moi.)

  6. The M.A.P. Maker: The M.A.P Maker blog is one of my favourite picks for this list because of the creative genius that lies behind it. M.A.P. Making is about crafting a life of Meaning, Abundance, and Passion. How cool is that! You get a great selection of tasty bites that cover work, chill and creativity. If you consider yourself to be the creative type, always short of time, then this blog is for you.
  7. Karen Burns, Working Girl: No, Karen is NOT THAT TYPE of working girl you might think. In fact, Karen has got one of the best and freshest looking website and blog I have seen in a long while. You can clearly see why Karen is perfectly suited to give you work/life balance advice. Head on over to her site and check out the content.

  8. Someday Syndrome: We all use the Someday Syndrome at times. Alex is not only a top guy, he certainly knows a thing or two about work/life balance and his blog is always interesting to read. If you want to dispose of procrastination once and for all let Alex give you a kick up the rear.

  9. The Happiness Project: What better, more suited blog to feature on this list than Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project. Meanwhile also a book, THP is about finding happiness in life while you juggle the demands of work/life balance.
