Other Redemption Options

The luxury of having points is that you can use them for more than just flights. You can redeem for everything from accommodation to retail vouchers, unique experiences and quality merchandise. You can even redeem them for a credit on your Card.

Points may be redeemed by the Basic Cardmember for a credit on the Primary Card Account.

American Express may decline a Points for Credit request where the Card Account or Cardmember’s other accounts with American Express are not in good standing. The redemption of Points for Credit will be administered solely by American Express within 3 business days and cannot be reversed. Points for Credit is not available for redemption by Corporate Card accounts and is not redeemable for cash via Credit balance refund.

Earning points is easy

$1 = 1 Membership Rewards Blue Sky point

There are no limits or caps on the number of points you can earn, and your points will not expire as long as your account remains current. Plus, our many Bonus Partners allow you to earn points even faster, so you can get your next reward faster.

Half Off Flights

You can fly from Melbourne to Sydney or from Sydney to Gold Cost for as few as 8,000 points if you book your flight on the Half Points offer. Want to go to Japan? Fly from Sydney to Hong Kong for 40,000 points when you use the Half Points offer. Once the offer expires, the same flight will require 80,000.

Flight points are fixed based on the destination so you know well in advance just how many points you need to get from your departure city to your destination. Flights must be booked at least 30 days in advance.

Since the Blue Sky Card has a 1-1 ratio of points to dollars purchased, you’ll need to charge the same number of dollars as points you need for the trip. I have tried a number of times to redeems some points for credit and have been unable to find the link within “membership rewards”
Is this to make it difficult to redeem?
Previously I phoned and had no trouble, but the imposition of a number of points lost due to telephone request precludes using this method.
PLEASE indicate a clear path to enable me to do this
