How to earn rewards points

You will learn 1 point for every dollar spent when you are a member of the American Express rewards program. You will get 1.5 points for every dollar spent if you hold a Platinum card.

How to earn donors points

American Express has linked up to business partners such as Bob Jane T-Marts, Avis, Sony Center and BP. You can get these extra bonus points when you shop at these retailers as long as you spend a minimum amount when indicated.

Shopping rewards

As a member of the American Express Rewards program you will be able to choose from such items as children’s games and toys, fitness and health accessories and home wares, to name only a select few.

Flights

You can use the American Express travel rewards service to book your next flight. You are also allowed to mix points with cash if you have to in order to pay for the trip. Your points can also be redeemed for travel vouchers and foreign currency.

Cashback

If you would like to get a credit that is put towards your American Express card you can redeem your points for that. The amount can be anywhere from $50 up to $1000.

Great experiences

If you’re not looking for travel, money or merchandise there is good news. You can also redeem your points for various entertainment rewards such as skydiving, movie tickets and tickets to tourist attractions in Australia.
