ANZ Frequent Flyer earn rate

The ANZ Frequent Flyer comes with two linked cards – an American Express and a Visa card. These cards are part of the same account, but are designed to give cardholders two benefits, a high earn rate and acceptance at the majority of merchants.

When you use the American Express for an eligible purchase, you’ll earn 1.00 Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every $1 spent.

If you instead pull out the VISA card, you’ll earn 0.50 Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every $1 you spend.

Make use of VISA and American Express to earn more points

VISA is a card that is welcomed at many of your favorite stores, while the American Express card will earn points at a higher rate. Using a combination of the two could help you build up the balance on your points very quickly. You can also make use of bonus partners that are teamed up with American Express or the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to accumulate even more points.

You will have the choice of using these points for the services or products that are redeemable, and there are over 1200 different rewards to choose from. You can also cash in these points for an Award flight on Qantas or one of its 25 other partner airlines. You will have the freedom to choose what you use your points for once you have used the card and have accumulated enough points to make a difference.
