Here is what you need to do to benefit from the ANZ Low Rate MasterCard deal:
If you switch from a non-ANZ credit card, store card, etc. to the ANZ Low Rate MasterCard before 27 February 2010 you get to take advantage of a very low 2.9% interest rate p.a. This means that you will only pay 2.9% interest on your transferred debt.
Figuratively speaking, if you have a debt of $1,000 and your minimum payment on the card is $20, but you choose to pay $100 extra into your account you could be debt free within 9 months. Plenty of time to take advantage of the 2.9% balance transfer offer.
Even with a higher debt, if used smartly you can really take advantage of this current offer. If you choose to stick with your existing credit card, then chances are that you are paying through the nose on interest.
Most cards charge you anywhere from 9.99% p.a. to 16% and more unless you already have a balance transfer card of some sorts.
