I am interested in this card. I noted you can transfer points to other frequent flyer partners. I’m a Qantas frequent flyer but did not see this on your oust of airlines points can be transferred to.

Can you tell me if these points can be transferred to the QF frequent fleyer program?

What is the amount I need to spend to obtain the 50,000 bonus points

    • Staff
      May | September 7, 2016

      Hi DB,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, the rewards points you earned for using your ANZ Rewards Platinum Credit Card cannot be transferred to Qantas Frequent Flyer program. You can only transfer your points to the following FF programs: Velocity, Air New Zealand Airpoints, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles or Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer.

As for the bonus points, you will receive the 50,000 bonus points after your first eligible purchase is made within 3 months of card approval (excluding fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers and premiums for ANZ credit card insurance). ANZ did not specify a certain amount for your first eligible purchase.

      Cheers,

I have direct credits in place, can I have the same direct credits from the Platinum Credit card?

    • Staff

      Hi Lynda,

      Thanks for your question.

Just to confirm, do you mean direct debits? If so, most credit cards can be set up as your payment method through direct debit especially for bills or with merchants that you have arranged with regular payments.

      Cheers,

      Hi Hannah,

      Thanks for getting back.

As stated in the fine prints, you are eligible to apply for the ANZ Rewards Platinum Credit Card and receive the bonus points if you do not currently hold or have closed an ANZ Rewards, ANZ Rewards Platinum or ANZ Rewards Black credit card within the previous twelve months. To be sure you are eligible, I suggest that you verify with ANZ directly.

Hi I also have a letter same as William and it says my account fee will be $40 from the 14th March. However it says I will only earn 1 reward point for every $ spend on the visa, and I will only earn 2 reward points for every $ spent on the AMEX. I’ve also noticed the points going up and up for rewards. so if I cancel and then re-apply I will get 2.5 points for Visa and 3 points for AMEX as I currently do.
If not and these changes do come into affect on the 14th Match I guess myself and others will sadly have to leave.

The ANZ Rewards aren’t capped, but if your account isn’t active (e.g. you don’t earn or redeem any points) within 36 months, your points will expire.

      I hope this has helped.

      Sharon | January 28, 2016

      Hi Peta,

      Thanks for your question.

As a financial comparison service, we can’t confirm whether you’ll be approved for the credit card. Your approval will depend on a number of details including your income and credit history.

So long as your disability pension income meets the minimum income required to apply for the ANZ Rewards Platinum card, you should be able to apply for the card.

If you’re unsure, you might wish to contact ANZ directly on 13 13 14 to discuss this in further detail.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sharon
