    Hi there,

Sorry this is my first credit card so I’m still trying to understand everything!

Is it 0% interest on overseas purchases or just domestic?

Also, will it cost me money to withdraw money on this card overseas?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | July 6, 2015

Hi Shay, thanks for your inquiry!

The Bankwest Breeze Platinum card provides 0% on purchases which will cover overseas purchases and domestic, as Platinum cards with Bankwest have international transaction fees waived. Overseas ATM/ cash withdrawals are not charged by Bankwest but may incur fees/ charges depending on the local ATM’s policies and fees.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

    Hello,
I am just wondering if the cash advance fee applies to credit you have loaded onto your card – ie if I have $6k credit limit but I load $1k on and only take that $1k out will I be charged for this overseas?

    Thank you

    • Staff
      Jonathan | June 11, 2015

Hi Ania, thanks for your inquiry!

If a deposit is made on a credit card bringing the account to an overall ‘credit’ balance (over 0) no interest charges will be applicable on the credit amount, such as the $1k you have stated.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

    Hey,

I’ve applied for this car a month ago and was approved for platinum but I wasn’t ready at the time to go ahead with it, now when I apply I’m not approved for anything is there a reason for this?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | June 9, 2015

Hi Clint, thanks for your inquiry!

The reason for being declined may be as a result of frequent applications within a short duration. Contacting Bankwest directly to inquire about your previous application may be ideal.

      I hope this was helpful,
      Jonathan

    Hello,
What is the interest on balance transfer? Bankwest has a current deal of 0% Balance transfer fee for up to 15 months. If I apply using your website for this card will I be able to use the 15months 0% balance transfer for 15 months + your offer of 0% on purchases for 13 months?
    Thank you

    • Staff
      Jonathan | June 2, 2015

Hi Shoaib, thanks for your inquiry!

Please note that this credit card offer only comes with 0% on purchases for 13 months. Generally with the products offered on the market, having a longer balance transfer period and purchase period is not possible. You may like to refer to the following links for a list of 0% balance transfer credit cards and 0% purchase credit cards.

What is the annual income needed for this card?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | June 2, 2015

Hi Kathy, thanks for your inquiry!

This card does have a specific minimum income requirement. Bankwest will assess the application as a whole including personal information, identification and financial details. In regards to financial details if you work for an employer, you may have to provide your two most recent payslips, and if you’re a new Bankwest customer, you have to show bank statements for the last three months. If you’re self employed you have to show your two most recent Notice of Assessments from the tax office. You’re also required to provide information about your other income, assets, ongoing expenses and liabilities.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

I’m confused by the use of terms for this Bankwest breeze platinum mastercard: it is written that it has a $0 foreign currency conversion fee but then also states:”The currency conversion fee is charged when you carry out a transaction in a currency other than Australian dollars.” please clarify what is and isn’t charged. thank you

    • Staff
      Jonathan | April 16, 2015

Hi Gretchen, thanks for your inquiry!

The currency conversion fee/ international transaction fee of 3.00% is usually payable for each transaction occurring outside Australia, whether in foreign currency or Australian dollars. This fee is waived if you have a Bankwest Breeze Platinum MasterCard account.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

      Hi,
I understand that no foreign transaction fees or currency conversions fees are charged but does it matter whether or not we are charged in AUD or local currency?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | June 18, 2015

Hi Sarah, thanks for your inquiry!

Bankwest platinum cardholders have the currency conversion fee/ international transaction fee waived. As a result transactions that are charged in a foreign currency do not incur a conversion fee. Transactions in AUD/ local currency do not qualify as foreign transactions, as a result the foreign transaction fee is not applicable.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan
