The Bankwest Breeze Gold MasterCard is a Gold MasterCard with a difference.
Like all Gold MasterCards, the Bankwest Breeze Gold MasterCard offers some additional benefits to cardholders. In particular, this card offers customers additional free insurance. For any product bought with the card, Bankwest provides customers with an extra 12 months extended warranty for free, given that the product already has a manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, any items bought using the card are also covered by purchase insurance – this insurance provides protection against any loss, theft or breakage for three months after the purchase of the goods.
This Bankwest Breeze Gold MasterCard also offers travel insurance to cardholders, if flights are purchased using the card. Cardholders also gain the benefit of interstate flight insurance – this covers any cancellations or losses on domestic flights. For any international flights purchased using this card, international travel insurance is provided and this also provides some international medical insurance as well.
Unlike most Gold credit cards, this credit card offers some very low fees and charges. The annual fee is only $99, while the interest rate on purchases is also very low. Of course, the cash advance rate is quite high and almost double the rate of interest charged on purchases. In addition to low interest rates, the card offers customers a 55 days interest free period on any purchases made.
Another difference between this Gold credit card and other Gold credit cards is the lack of any rewards program. While this may seem strange initially, the card is designed without such a rewards program in order to keep the costs low and to pass on those savings to the customer.
