Add to this the benefit of an interest free period of up to 55 days on eligible purchases, and it’s easy to see why this card is so popular.

More Gold MasterCard Free Insurances

Cardholders with a Bankwest More Gold MasterCard can enjoy free airline travel insurance if their credit card was used to pay for the ticket purchase. This can help to protect against missed flights or other incidents related to airline travel.

Customers are further protected by a complimentary Travel Accident insurance policy that offers a level of protection against accidents incurred while travelling interstate or overseas.

The Bankwest More Gold MasterCard also comes with complimentary Purchase Protection Insurance. This policy gives you an automatic level of protection for three months against theft, loss or damage to any items purchased using your credit card.

More importantly, if you do pay for an item using your credit card, you’ll also receive an automatic extended 12 month warranty on top of the manufacturer’s existing warranty term. This can be ideal for those customers who purchase electronic items or appliances and want the reassurance of an extra year worth of warranty to protect against damage or fault within the item.

Optional Insurances Available with the Bankwest More Gold Card

If you still retain an outstanding debt balance on your credit card, you can opt for an extra level of balance cover. This type of cover automatically covers you for 7% of your monthly repayment amount each month in the event that you lose your job or suffer from an accident or any illness where you’re unable to work.

7% of your outstanding balance is usually higher than the minimum monthly repayment amount due, so you’ll know that if you’re unable to make your payments for any legitimate reason, your insurance will make your payments for you for a period of up to 36 months.

The same coverage will also cover your outstanding balance in the event of your untimely death. The amount you owe will be instantly repaid in full (up to a limit of $50,000), which can drastically reduce the financial stress on your loved ones.

Hi. Bankwest do not offer car insurance or rental excess cover with their credit card’s insurance policies. ANZ do offer this with some of their cards though. Thanks for writing in and sorry it’s taken an age to reply. Jacob.
