As an exclusive debit MasterCard holder you get to enjoy special bits of entertainment besides being able to shop just about anywhere. Sydney card holders were immersing themselves into some rock tunes on Tuesday night as popular British group Bloc Party turned the Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art into a fan-studded event.

Special gigs with debit MasterCard.

The intimate concert, limited to a lucky few turned out to be a memorable event for the band. Frontman Kele Okereke said: “I must say in the history of Bloc Party this must be one of the strangest gigs we have done.”

“It’s still really awesome.”

Australian band promoter Paul Piticco said the combination of an intimate atmosphere and unusual location did appeal to the band. He said: “Playing the Museum of Contemporary Art when they are a contemporary artistic band I guess is a cool thing.”

MasterCard debit card holders will be able to enjoy many more of these special events as MasterCard is in the middle of staging a series of concerts over the next 12-months or so.

It is the first time the credit card company has ventured into the music scene and some big name bands are set to be featured in these ‘money can’t buy’ concerts. It is the first of a long run of trying to connect Generation Y with the brand name. Changes are, many might switch to their own debit MasterCard to become part of these historical events in the future.
