Hi Trish

Thanks for your question

The credit card balance must be with an Australian financial institution in order for you to do a balance transfer.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Is it possible to transfer the balance from a UK credit card? I am an Aussie citizen and permanent resident but am still trying to pay off a UK credit card.

Hey David,
You're getting the 'Citibank Clear Card' and 'Citibank Personal Credit' confused.
Citibank Clear has 0% for 6 months, then reverts back to 12.49%.
Citibank Personal Credit has 7.9% for life.
Hope that clears something up for you.

You still seem to have this wrong - the offer is 0% for 6 months then 12.49% - not 7.9% for life.

This page says that this card offers 0% on balance transfers "followed by 4.9% forever following". I couldn't find anything about the 4.9% on the Citibank website so called them to check. They said that they only offer 0% for six months, then it reverts to their normal interest rate. Not sure if this site is not up to date or if there has been an error made somewhere!
