You don&#039;t need to cancel the other card, however in most cases it&#039;s a good idea since it will help avoid the temptation of spending on that card, and having 2 cards both with a balance on them.

In this section, you have the opportunity to specify the maximum credit limit that you would like on the card. The maximum approved credit limit for the Citibank Emirates Platinum is $100,000, however, you will need to meet their credit criteria in order to be approved for that amount and may be approved for a lesser amount.

Be sure to check with a financial advisor about your specific financial situation before you make a decision to apply for a credit card.
