Hi Matt

Thanks for your comment

If you were to transfer to another Citibank credit card, you have to leave 9 months between applying for another Citibank credit card.

Normal Citibank credit card application criteria will apply - when you click the "Apply" button it will bring up application criteria for each card. Generally speaking, the main difference between each card's application criteria will be the required minimum income. Platinum credit cards from Citibank generally have a higher minimum income requirement.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hi

I already have a credit card that I transferred the balance too almost 12 months ago. Is there anything stopping me then transferring that balance to the Citibank card?

Hi Daniel

Thanks for your comment!

If you are an existing Citi Credit Cardholder, you must have held your current Citi account for at least 9 months before you can apply for another Credit Card. You will still also need to meet the normal criteria for application.

Hope this helps :)

Hi Viki

Thanks for your comment

In order to avoid interest charges and fees, you will need to call Citibank prior to the 15 month mark to ensure you get the full amount you require to do a balance transfer, avoiding interest charges. You also need to allow enough time to get your new credit card, and also take in to account the time it takes to do a balance transfer from the new card to Citibank.

It is important you seek financial advice before making a decision on which credit card to apply for, and also regarding your question.

Cheers

Hi Tina

Thanks for your question.

Yes it is possible to transfer your existing personal loans to the Citibank Gold Credit Card. As far as I'm aware, those providers would be ok - however you are best to check with Citibank with this specific question.

Cheers

Is it possible to transfer balances from personal loans at all or only credit card balances from other lenders?
If it is possible to transfer personal loan balances, can you advise me whether I am able to transfer balances specifically from GE Finance and Esanda Finance?
Regards,

Hi J

Thanks for your comment!

The core differences are:
- The credit limit on the Citibank Platinum is up to $100,000 vs the Citibank Gold which has a maximum credit limit of $60,000
- The annual fee is $250 for the Citibank Platinum vs $149 for the Citi Gold
- Additional cardholders for the Citibank Platinum cost $90 vs the Citi Gold where additional cardholders are $60 each
- The Citibank Platinum is available with a Visa only, whereas the Citi Gold is available as a Visa or MasterCard
- The minimum income to apply for the Citibank Platinum is $40,000 p.a. vs the Citibank Gold which has a minimum income requirement of $30,000 p.a.
- Frequent Flyer Options: Citibank Platinum can be redeemed for Velocity and Kris Flyer, and also has the option for joining Citi Qantas Rewards, whereas the Citi Gold only has the Kris Flyer and Velocity options.
- Extended Warranty on your purchases is available only with the Citibank Platinum
- The Citibank Platinum Visa has a personal 24/7 concierge service through Platinum Visa

Hope this comparison helped!

Cheers

I currently have ready credit account with the citibank with 0 balance. I'd like to apply for a new visa card and have the balance from another bank transferred to it. My intention is to have one card only cuz I don't want my current credit limit be taken into account when I apply for the new card (as this may affect my credit limit). How can I go about it to avoid this problem? Thanks

Hi Annette

Thanks for your comment.

When doing a balance transfer, you can only do a balance transfer up to the approved credit limit assigned to you when you apply for the card. The credit limit you receive will depend partially on your current income and other criteria for the credit application.

Cheers
