Citibank Prestige Cards might just entice the average consumer to apply for one with their fantastic deals and great offers.
Citibank Prestige Credit Cards: Balance Transfer Rates
Citibank Prestige Credit Cards offer balance transfer deals that are quite attractive and despite being a prestige card, the Citibank Gold offers the same low interest rate as the Citibank Silver card.. While the Platinum range of prestige cards come with a larger balance transfer rate, the rate is available for the lifetime of the card. On the other hand, if the card holder has any repayments that need to be made, they aren’t set off against spending or cash transfer first, as the low interest balance that has been transferred needs to be paid off first.
Citibank Prestige Credit Cards: Limits
As is to be expected, the limits differ according to the type of card, with the Silver card offering a maximum limit of $7,500 while the prestige cards have much higher limits. For example, the Gold card comes with a maximum limit around $60,000 while the Citibank Platinum offers as much as $100,000. It is worth noting that these limits are the Citibank Prestige Credit Cards maximum limits and can vary according to each individual’s circumstances.
The cards offer thresholds that differ according to income and credit score. The Silver card, that acts as a standard credit card, despite its name, is the most lenient. On the other hand, the prestige cards have a higher requirement when it comes to credit scores, where the Gold is somewhat higher than the Silver and the Platinum is meant to go ‘beyond the Gold’ with the highest credit score requirement.
Citibank Prestige Credit Cards: Annual Fees and Extras
The Citibank Prestige Credit Cards come with different annual fees as well, with the Gold costing a card holder $149 per year while the Platinum comes with a $250 annual charge.
The prestige cards also come with various extras such as cover for purchases made on the card, which is active for the first 90 days of the transaction. Likewise, the cards offer insurance for travel with tickets purchased on the cards being covered, as well as medical treatment in foreign countries, cancellations and lost luggage. Of course, the Platinum card offers a much higher level of insurance than the Gold.
The Platinum card also includes a concierge service which basically means that card holders have a personal assistant at their disposal who can take care of a number of mundane tasks. This card also offers a rewards program where any points earned can be set off against any leisure activity the card holder desires. Platinum card holders also receive prioritised customer service.
