      Hi Tanya,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

Yes, you can actually apply, however, multiple credit card applications may have an impact on your credit file as that would result to multiple enquiries as well, especially if your application will only be rejected for not meeting the bank’s requirements. I suggest that you contact Citibank first to discuss your chances of approval (for the two cards) before you apply. By doing so, you’ll be able to keep your credit file healthy.

      I hope that helps.

      Cheers,
      May

      Anndy | August 18, 2016

      Hi Ben,

      Thanks for your comment.

Generally, Citibank credit cards are only available for permanent Australian residents or recent permanent residents (at least 12 months).

Citibank may assess the credit card applications of temporary residents on a case-by-case basis, so you may want to directly get in touch with them and discuss your circumstances directly.

We have a page where you can check which bank accepts credit card applications of temporary residents.

      Cheers,
      Anndy

Are the mobile phone bills eligible for “3000″ spend?

    • Staff
      May | August 16, 2016

      Hi Marge,

      Thank you for your question.

If your payment for your mobile bills is not through BPay, then that could be considered as an eligible purchase. Furthermore, as stated in the terms and conditions of Citi Qantas Signature Credit Card:

Eligible transaction refers to any Retail Purchase which is made by the use of a Card or any other means permitted by Citibank, excluding transactions by way of Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, fees, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, foreign exchange and ATM/ Bank charges, interest charges, finance charges, government charges, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, insurance charges, payments to Citi loan accounts (mortgage etc), BPAY payments, purchases in excess of limits on the Account, transactions made in operating a business.

Hope this has answered your question.

      Cheers,
