      Hi Stephen,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

In the fine prints of Citibank, it does not state that a previous Citibank cardholder whether or not eligible to apply for the Citi Qantas Signature Credit Card and to get the 50,000 bonus points. You’d be best if you inquire with Citibank directly. They could also advise as to when you can re-apply – that is if it’s possible.

Please refer to the contact details of Citibank I’ve sent to your email.

      Cheers,
      May

      Hi Peter,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

As long as you apply before the offer expires, spend on eligible purchases within the first 3 months from card approval and are a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, you should have no trouble earning and redeeming the bonus points offer.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

You state the Citi Qantas Signature Credit Card has an annual fee of $299 (standard annual fee for this card is $395). Are you saying that the 1st year will be $299 and each year thereafter will be $395 or will the card continue to only have a fee of $299 ?

    • Staff
      Ysa | December 28, 2015

      Hi Jules,

      Thanks for your inquiry.
The reduced annual fee of $299 applies for the life of the account (usually $395 per year).
Please also note that an additional annual fee of $49 will apply if you opt to join the Citi Qantas Rewards program.
      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,
      Ysa

Hi Alex, thanks for your inquiry!

That is correct. Citi Signature Cards are eligible for up to 6 months of continuous international travel insurance cover. To be eligible for cover you need to obtain the overseas travel ticket from one of the following methods:
-charge the entire cost of the overseas travel ticket to the eligible credit card
-obtain the overseas travel ticket under the Citibank Travel program
-obtain the overseas travel ticket via your frequent flyer program providing that a minimum of 15,000 points were transferred to the frequent flyer program from points earned on a Citibank card or via Citi Rewards, over a 12 month period prior to obtaining the overseas travel ticket.

      Cheers,

      Jonathan

Do you earn frequent flyer points on Bpay payments? Are bpay payments classed as a cash advance?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | September 22, 2015

Hi Mal, thanks for your inquiry!

You can earn points on your BPAY payments as these are considered as purchases by Citibank.

To learn more about which transactions are considered as cash advance, please refer on this page.

      I hope this helps.

      Cheers,

I have a Citi signature card
do I earn points for all Bay payments? what is earning rate?
also, with changes announced yesterday-new conversion rate to airline frequent flyer programs-will these new rates apply to points accrued prior to 15 December ’15 or only to points earned after this date?

    • Staff
      Sally | December 16, 2015

      Hi Carlo,

      Thanks for your question.

The changes to Citi’s frequent flyer schemes will apply to points earned after the changes have rolled in during the new year.

Currently, you can still earn reward points on BPAY payments with the Signature credit card. However, from the 18th of January 2016, BPAY payments will no longer earn reward points.

You can earn 1.5 rewards points per $1 spent on all eligible domestic purchases (including BPAY) up to $20,000 per statement period.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

      Sally

It doesn’t say how much I need to spend to receive 50,000 bonus Qantas Points. “Your first spend within the first three months from card”.
Is it $5,000 a month for 3 months, total of $15,000?

    • Staff
      Jonathan | September 21, 2015

Hi Schu, thanks for your inquiry!

The 50,000 bonus points offer will be available if you apply for this card by 31 December 2015 and make your first eligible purchase within three months of Card approval. There is no required spend level to receive the bonus points. Qantas Points will be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account within 6-8 weeks of meeting spend criteria.

What is the maximum monthly spend that attracts 1 QFF point for every eligible dollar spent ie If you spend $8,000 per month on eligible spends would you earn 8,000 QFF points

    • Staff
      Jonathan | September 9, 2015

Hi Thomas, thanks for your inquiry!

There is no points cap for this card. As a result you would earn 8,000 QFF points for $8,000 of eligible purchases. Please note you will not earn Points on the following transactions: Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, fees, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, foreign exchange and ATM/ Bank charges, interest charges, finance charges, government charges and payments to the Australian Taxation Office.

Hi, I have recently had two consecutive QF visa cards, each from separate providers, downgraded from 1 QFF for $1 spend down to 0.5 QFF for $1 spend above $2,500/month. What a waste of my time and money (annual fees) changing cards!

How will Citibank ensure the reward rate will not be downgraded below 1 QFF for $1 spend for the entire balance?

    • Staff
      Sally | August 10, 2015

      Hi Philip,

      Thank you for your comment.

Just to confirm, you have come through to finder.com.au, not Citibank. You may wish to get in contact with them directly to discuss your enquiry.

At this point, you can earn 1.00 Qantas Point for every dollar you spend on eligible purchases with the Citi Qantas Signature Credit Card. In terms of future earn rates, we’re unable to predict how these may increase or decrease in the near future.

      I hope this has helped.

      Thanks,

      Sally
