How to personalise your card

Creating your own design for your credit cards is easy. You can search your computer’s hard drive for your photo and place it on the card. The screen will have picture tools for you to use. You can use these tools to re-size the image, flip the image horizontally or vertically, make it a mirror image and determine the photo’s placement. Once you have decided on the right dimensional and placement of your photo you will be able to preview it before you send off your new card request. If you do not like the picture during the previewing session you can simply hit the back button and fix the picture until you are happy with it. You will have the ability to make as many design changes as you want before you click the submit button. The cost for ordering a personalised and custom designed card is only $15.

Tips for superb results

Here are some basic tips that will ensure that your photo looks great on your new Heritage card. First, try to use high resolution photos. The card designing program will not alter your photos other than to re-size and reshape the images. Very small and low resolution photos just won’t look great on the card. Also the photo that you choose should in one of these four formats – JEG, Bitmap, GIF or TIFF. The photo has to be currently saved on your computer’s hard drive in order to be uploaded onto the card. The minimum size for a photo should be 50 KB. The program can load pictures up to 3 MB. To ensure that your photo comes out the way you want it to, you should use picture with at least 480 x 480 pixels. Most photos will upload pictures for preview in less than 3 minutes. Different cardholders on the same account will each get to choose their own image. Uploading a quality photo to your credit card is easy, choosing which photo you want to use will represent the hard part.

Rules for images

In order to provide its customers with a safe and happy credit card personalisation experience, Heritage Bank retains the rights to refuse any card photos that it feels are inappropriate or offensive. Check out the available Heritage Bank credit cards. Here is a general guideline for what types of image you may not upload onto your Heritage card. First, please do not choose any photos with the names, trademarks or logos of other financial institutions. Also, please do not use any other credit card providers in your photo. An example of this would be the MasterCard symbol. Any copyrighted material may also not be used as it is against the law to steal copyrighted images for any personal use. This is also true for branded products and products that are trademarked.

In order to help keep the images clean you may not upload any photos that contain nudity, semi-nudity, sexually explicit or suggestive content. You cannot add any photos that feature political statements or organisations. Please no references to drugs, alcohol or images of violence. Because of trademark laws and personal privacy rules, you are also not allowed to upload pictures of famous people or celebrities. This is true for foreign and domestic images of famous people and it includes athletes, singers, actors and any other form of celebrity.

Please do not try to upload photos that contains hateful or discriminatory language or images. No bad words either. No references or images relating to the Olympic games may be uploaded as well. Please do not upload advertising for any sort of business, or websites or include any address or phone number information on the card. Again because of copyright and trademark issue you cannot load artwork. Heritage reserves the right to refuse to upload any photo or picture that breaks any of these guidelines or that the company feels may be inappropriate for a card.
