Which Air Miles Credit Cards Operate Frequent Flyer Programmes?
Posted November 13th, 2009 and last modified May 1st, 2013When checking the credentials of air miles credit cards, it is not safe to just assume that they are the same as frequent flyer credit cards.
Many rewards programs allow you to build up air miles, but even when points can go towards flights with a certain airline, these do not necessarily provide automatic access to that airline’s frequent flyer program. For example, the Citibank Platinum credit card earns points for the Qantas Rewards Programme, but it does not entitle you to their frequent flyer program unless a separate application is made, for which a fee is payable.
