Woolworths Everyday Rewards now replaced by Woolworths Rewards

As of October 28 2015, the Woolworths Everyday Rewards program has been replaced by the new Woolworths Rewards scheme. The most notable changes to this loyalty program lie in its treatment of Woolworth points and Qantas points. Petrol discounts remain the same.

In summary, the previous reward system of collecting “Woolworth Points” has now become a “Woolworth Dollar” system, which offers more of an automatic cash rebate than the old way of collecting points for future redemption. With this change, Qantas Frequent Flyer members also earn points in a very different manner.

Commonly asked questions about the Woolworths Rewards scheme

What are Woolworths Dollars?

Woolworths Dollars are the currency of the new Woolworths Rewards program. Each Woolworth Dollar is worth AUD $1 off a future spend. You accumulate Woolworth Dollars by scanning your card when purchasing orange ticket items at Woolworths online, Woolworths supermarkets and BWS stores, excluding Tasmania. These orange ticket items are tagged to indicate how much Woolworth dollar(s) they earn.

When you’ve accumulated 10 Woolworth Dollars, you automatically get $10 off your next transaction in participating stores by scanning your card. There is no limit to the amount of Woolworth Dollars redeemable each time, but you can only redeem them in multiples of 10, and the system automatically redeems them for you whenever you reach $10 Woolworth Dollars.

To earn Woolworths Dollars with Woolworths online, make sure your rewards card is linked to your account by registering your 13-digit card number online at woolworthsonline.com.au under ‘My Account’ and ‘Woolworths Rewards’.

What about Qantas Frequent Flyers?

Given the change in reward scheme, Qantas points are now also earned differently. Previously, Qantas Points were earned on every extra dollar spent above $30 in a transaction.

Woolworths Rewards initially dropped the Qantas partnership, but it was announced in late 2015 that by mid-2016, you’ll have the option to convert your Woolworths Dollars into Qantas Points at a rate of $10 Woolworth Dollars to 870 Qantas Points. If you choose this option, your Woolworths Dollars will be automatically converted into Qantas Points every three months.

Needless to say, your Woolworths Rewards card must be linked to your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. You can do this online at woolworthsrewards.com.au under ‘My Account’ and ‘Cards & accounts’, or by calling 1300 10 1234 and selecting option 1 (8am–8pm on weekdays, 9am–5pm on weekends).

How about fuel discounts?

The fuel discounts pretty much remain the same. By spending $30 or more and scanning your rewards card during the transaction, a 4c per litre discount will be loaded on your card for use at participating Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets.

The only difference is that while previously you could earn two Qantas points per litre at the Caltex/Woolworths fuel outlets, this will no longer be possible.

Are there any other perks?

Some other program benefits include online or email product offers that are designed to help boost your Woolworths Dollars balance, and a weekly ‘Scan to Win’ lucky draw that rewards 10,000 shoppers with $10 Woolworths Dollars for simply scanning your rewards card at checkout.

Getting and managing your Woolworths Rewards card

One thing that hasn’t changed is the way you can sign up for the rewards program and manage your account online. You can access all membership services online at the Woolworths Rewards website, including registering as a member, checking your Woolworth Dollars, linking your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, and getting a card replacement if you’ve lost your card.

How do I get a second rewards card? I had two of the previous ones but only got one of the new ones.

    • Staff
      May | April 18, 2016

      Hi Shirley,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

As of October 28 2015, the Woolworths Everyday Rewards program has been replaced by the new Woolworths Rewards scheme. Under this new scheme, it’s only one Woolworths Rewards account per person, so getting a second rewards card is not possible. If you think you’ve previously registered a card, please click here for your contact options.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,

Can I use my rewards card to buy groceries from Woolworths

    • Staff
      Sharon | March 26, 2016

      Hi Emma,
      Thanks for your inquiry.

The Woolworths Rewards card is not a credit card but is a card for the Woolworths Everyday Rewards customer loyalty scheme that rewards it members with “Woolworths Dollars” when you purchase specific items in-store. These items will be marked with orange tickets that will display how many Dollars you can earn. You’ll also receive emails from Woolworths about special offers for specific products that will accrue Woolworths Dollars within a specific date. Once you’ve earned 10 Rewards Dollars, you’ll receive a $10 discount voucher, which will automatically be applied to your next shop.

For more information, you may also refer to this page.

      I hope this helps.

      Ally | March 18, 2016

      Hi Banira,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Kindly note that finder.com.au is an online comparison service that does not represent any card issuer such as Woolworths.

Nonetheless, you might want to read through the ‘How do I register my account online’ and ‘How do I check my rewards balance?’ sections on this page, which may serve as a guide on how you can register your account online and check on the status of your rewards points respectively.

Should you have further clarifications, you may also contact the Woolworths team directly through the contact number that I sent to your email.

      I hope this has helped.

      Cheers,
      Ally

      Debbie | March 17, 2016

      Hi David,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Please note that you’ve come through finder.com.au, an online comparison service and not Woolworths.

It’d be best to report these findings with your credit card issuer, you may need to contact Woolworths customer service directly or Big W to verify your card’s access to the store.

We’re sorry we can’t provide you with further assistance.

      Cheers,
      Debbie

I have a rewards card, is it possible to get a second card for my partner so that he doesn’t have to keep going to my bag & getting mine out, which he forgets sometimes when he does the shopping, would make it easier.

      Sharon | March 7, 2016

Hi Sheila, thanks for your question.

Woolworths Rewards cards are now personalised to your shopping so it’s one Woolworths Rewards card per member. If you are looking to link your card with any other individual’s, they can register here.

      Cheers,

      Sharon
