Fast Approval Credit Cards – the solution if you need money now

Posted August 10th, 2009 and last modified January 27th, 2010

Today we are living in the world of instant access.  If you stop and think about it there are not many things you need that you have to wait for, for any length of time.  To many people’s surprise you can actually get fast approval credit cards.

Little wonder I suppose, when you think that you can now buy a house while sitting in your lounge room.  It is possible to complete the transaction 100% online.  So if you can do this there is no reason why you shouldn’t get a $5,000 credit card online.

ANZ Low Rate MasterCard Offer

Fast Approval Credit Card: ANZ Low Rate MasterCard

The ANZ Low Rate MasterCard will give you an instant response within 60 seconds letting you know if your credit card application was successful or not. The ANZ Low Rate Mastercard offers a low interest rate and balance transfer offer making it a suitable credit card for most

  • $58 annual fee
  • 12.74% p.a. on purchases
  • 20.99% p.a. on cash advances
  • 0% p.a. for 6 months on balance transfers
  • 60 second response on credit card application

Understand the influence of your credit rating

This all sounds good but there is something you should be aware of.  If you apply for a credit card and it is refused this is not too much of a problem, but if you apply for several and they are all rejected this will be reflected on your credit score.  So if you are considering applying for a fast approval credit card it would pay to check that you have an excellent credit rating, or at least a good one.  Even with a good credit rating, should you get reject the first time it would pay to give serious consideration before applying again within say 6 months.

Rewards programs

There are many different reward programs on offer, so give consideration to your lifestyle.  Firstly, look at what variety of rewards are on offer, secondly the value of them and the type of reward that you could benefit from.  The third thing to consider is what are the reward points being paid on?  For example, say you shop mostly for the family on your credit card, you would probably choose a program with one of the large food or clothing chains, whereas if you are on the road a lot for work you would possibly choose one more related to gas, car repairs and accommodation.

You want to be able to clock up your rewards for your card use and you also want to get the benefits for something that you will use.

Assessing the Introductory Offer for your selected Fast Approval Credit Card

Most credit cards have some sort of incentive to use their facilities, called an Introductory Offer.  These vary in nature and in the length of time that they apply.  As long as everything else is acceptable look for a card that has a long introductory offer period.  These periods can be as long as 15 months, especially if you are going to transfer any balances.  You can get instant approval credit cards that have no fees for balance transfers.

Another feature to look at is the cash back percentages.  They will normally be from 1 to 6% depending on the card that you get and the purchase that you make.  The higher percentage cash back that you can get back for your purchases the better.

Finally check the interest rates and fees

Getting a fast approval credit card is great, but one step you don’t want to overlook is the interest rates and fees.  The credit card issuer’s attitude to these two costs will be something that will affect you over the term of you being a credit card holder.  Compare these two charges with other cards on offer.  Your interest rate will vary according to your credit score and is charged on any unpaid balance at the end of each month.
