    Hi

I have booked my International flights on my HSBC Platinum card, does that make me eligible for Travel Insurance? If so, do I have to contact HSBC to get the cover?

    Thanks!

i have a citibank platinum card with zero annual fee – can HSBC match this on this card?
I also have a hsbc account which I would like to link together for convenience.

Hi Jim. Sorry for the delay in our response. As far as I’m aware, major banks will not match competitors offers over the counter. What’s the harm in trying though? Please speak to the lender directly. Jacob.

I want a card that if I spend anything on the card I will earn points for my frequent flyers on everything I spend

      Jeremy | June 18, 2012

      Hi,

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately there aren’t any cards in the market that let you earn points on everything you spend. The terms and conditions for all frequent flyer credit cards stipulate you can only earn points on eligible purchases – everything except cash advances, balance transfers, gambling transactions etc. – to find the frequent flyer card that’s best for your personal situation, check our frequent flyer comparison page found here – http://www.creditcardfinder.com.au/frequent-flyer-credit-cards – thanks for the question.

      Cheers,
      Jeremy

Can you collect reward points to redeem on flights with this card?

    • Staff
      Jacob | July 25, 2012

Hi Travis. Thanks for the question. Points can be redeemed on flights with a number of domestic and international airlines including Qantas, Jetstar, American Airlines and British Airlines. In addition, flights can be paid for using a mixture of both reward points and cash to get a cheaper flight. Check out the frequent flyer page on Qantas’s webpage, and the terms and conditions here.
      Cheers.

Given the following: I live in Guam, retired U.S. Army, currently employed by the U.S. Navy as a civilian, $148,000 annual income, fair credit rating of 665 (probably dropped 20 more by Slate Chase taking a look) due to high balances on revolving credit etc…

I would like to balance transfer $7500. Is it worth my time to attempt qualifying?

    Thanks, Kris
