There are 41 IMB branches throughout the Illawarra, Sydney, NSW South Coast, the ACT and Melbourne, supported by a mobile lending team and a network of ATMs. IMB also provides commercial loans through broker groups across Australia, and it was the first ever Australian building society to be assigned a public investment grade rating by the rating agency Standard & Poor. Currently it has been assigned a long term rating of BBB with a stable outlook and a short term rating of A-2.

IMB's aim is to provide the services of a large bank at a low cost, and to return a range of benefits to its members. This is reflected in the IMB credit cards on offer and if you are looking for an alternative to a traditional bank, then IMB may be for you.
