Jetstar Travel Card no longer available

The convenient way to pay abroad
The pre-paid Jetstar Travel Card eliminates a lot problems by allowing you to load up your card with money before you go away. Forget fees and travellers cheques – all you do is transfer money from your bank account through BPAY, and Jetstar will lock in the exchange rate and fill the card with your chosen currency. Your Jetstar Travel card can also be filled with more than one currency, giving you ease of mind as you travel across one border to another.
Currencies available on the Jetstar Travel Card: AUD, USD, Euro, GBP, NZD, HKD, SGD, CAD, JPY.
Jetstar gives you a free backup card just in case your first card goes missing. There is also a dedicated customer service line you can call ato report a lost or stolen card for a fee of $7.50 AUD.
If you go over budget and spend all the money on your Jetstar Travel Card don’t despair. You won’t need to go searching for a branch of your bank to load up your card. Simply call your bank at home, or log onto the Internet and load up your card from there. If you’re registered for BPAY you can also load up your travel card that way.
One of the features of this card should also ensure you never run out of money unexpectedly. You can set up SMS alerts for $0.50 AUD per SMS which gives you an update of the balance in all your wallets. If you see you’re running low on funds, you can load up.

How to apply
You can apply online for a Jetstar Travel Card, and you should receive a confirmation within minutes. Remember this isn’t a credit product so your financial history shouldn’t play a major role in you being granted a card.
