All about the Macquarie Bank Visa PayWave

The Macquarie Bank Visa Platinum has recently been selected as the official credit card for the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and the Sydney Football Stadium (SFS). This has enabled Macquarie Bank to offer card holders even more benefits, including the Macquarie Bank Visa PayWave. The following benefits are available under this new PayWave:

  1. New express lanes for card holders at the SCG and SFS, or ‘Advantage Lines’
  2. Contactless payment technology to increase the speed and ease of payments

Advantage Lines

Advantage Lines are new, express lines available for holders of the Macquarie Bank Visa Platinum Card. These Advantage Lines will be available at selected food and drink outlets at the SCG and SFS as well as at ticket box offices. Card holders will enjoy this express service, and be able to arrive at the games sooner with less stress and hassle. Contactless readers will also be available at the Advantage Line outlets.

Macquarie Bank Visa PayWave contactless payment technology

Holders of the Macquarie Bank Visa Platinum credit card now have the option of using contactless payment technology to make payments. This technology eliminates the need to sign after making a payment as well as the need to enter a PIN number.

In order to use this advanced contactless payment technology, you simply select the items you wish to purchase. As long as the total bill is less than $100, you simply tap your card against the contactless payment reader and your payment will be authorised! This technology is available at both the SFS and the SCG.

Contactless payment technology offers users the following benefits:

  • Greater convenience – you no longer need to carry cash to the games
  • Greater speed – transactions are usually quicker using this technology, which means that you can get back to the game quickly
  • Innovative experience – this is a brand new technology, and you will be among the first people to enjoy this innovative payment method
  • Greater security – while purchasing goods, your card will never leave your hands. This reduces the risk that your card details may be copied or compromised in any way.

The new Macquarie Bank Visa PayWave contactless payment technology is among the many benefits that Macquarie Bank Visa Platinum card holders enjoy.
