Cardholders get access to a free platinum concierge service as well. To apply for a MyState credit card you can call their customer service centre or walk into your nearest MyState branch. Establish if you meet the following criteria before you apply. You need to:
- Be over 18 years old
- Be a permanent Australian resident
- Not have poor creditworthiness
- Meet minimum income requirements ($25,000 p.a. for the low rate card, and $35,000 p.a. for the platinum card)
- Have a valid email address
The application requires you to part with different types of information, which includes the following:
- Personal details. This include your name, date of birth, nationality, marital status, number of dependents, residential address, phone number and email address.
- Employment details. Your employment status, occupation and industry, as well as your employer’s name and contact details will be required.
- Income and expenses. Provide income details from all sources. Expenses include your share of general living expenses and any other recurring expenses. You also have to provide details about existing credit cards, store cards, loans and overdrafts.

Is there a maximum limit for balance transfers?
Yes. You cannot transfer balances exceeding 80% of your card’s credit limit.
Can I apply for an additional cardholder?
You can apply for as many as four additional cardholders.
How do I earn reward points?
The Platinum MasterCard comes linked to the Card Services Rewards Program. When you use your platinum credit card to make in-store, online, or over-the-phone purchases, every dollar you spend earns 1.25 reward points. These points accumulate in your Card Services Rewards account.
How do I find out how many points I have?
Your credit card statement tells you just how many points you have. You can visit the Card Services website to check how many points you have and you can also call MyState directly.
Do my reward points expire?
No, your reward points don’t expire as long as you keep using your card and you account remains in good standing.
Is there a cap on the number of reward points I can earn?
With the platinum card you can earn up to 100,000 reward points in every 12-month cycle, which begins from the time you enrol in the rewards program.

What rewards options do I have?
You can use your reward points to get airline tickets, hotel vouchers, store vouchers and a range of merchandise. You also have the option to transfer your reward points to popular frequent flyer programs like Velocity, KrisFlyer and Emirates Skywards.
Who can redeem my reward points?
While you and the first additional cardholder have authority to redeem reward points, you can grant this same authority to the other additional cardholders as well.
