NAB balance transfer credit card details
Here are some of the most important things you should know about a NAB balance transfer card, so that you can feel perfectly comfortable making the transfer.
Defining a balance transfer
When you transfer a balance from another store or credit card over to a new card that offers a lower rate of interest, you are doing a balance transfer. Choosing a NAB balance transfer card makes good sense because you will be paying a much lower rate of interest on your balance, which means you will save money and possibly pay off your entire debt. When you make an application for a NAB credit card to do a transfer balance, you will need to make sure that the minimum requirement of $200 for each request has been met.
How to apply for a balance transfer
You can apply for a NAB balance transfer card online, and the form is very simple to fill out. When you make your application you should have the following details handy:
- The name of the card issuer, for example ANZ.
- The card type, for example MasterCard or Visa.
- The amount you want to transfer.
- The number on your card.
NAB cards that offer a balance transfer
You can get a balance transfer when you apply for a NAB Qantas Card, a NAB Low Rate Visa Card, a NAB Visa Mini or a Velocity NAB Credit Card.
Closing an account
If you want to apply for a NAB balance transfer credit card you should know that when the balance has been transferred your other account will not close automatically. This needs to be done as a separate action on your part.
Balance transfer rates
The introductory rates will apply for up to six months from the time that the balance is transferred over to your account.
After the promotional period has expired, your interest rate on the balance transfer will be the same rate as you are being charged for cash advances. This may be different from the purchase rate on your new card.
There are a lot of reasons why you should make a NAB balance transfer, and they all make good financial sense. Apply for one today and start enjoying all the benefits you can get from a balance transfer card.

can I transfer money from NAB to my sons a/c with Heritage B.S.
Hi Heather
Just to confirm – do you mean do a credit card balance transfer from NAB to Heritage Building Society? If so, it’s only possible if both cards are in your name.
Cheers
