NAB, one of Australia’s largest banks, is hosting a professional development and networking program called NAB Horizons. This is a program that has been specially put together for women who have an interest in pursuing a career in business banking.
At a time when banking is under the spotlight following the global economic crisis, NAB is seeking to bring in new female talent to help diversify its workforce and showcase the opportunities available within the business banking industry.
Applications for the NAB Horizons course are limited and applications close on Wednesday 20th January 2010, so there is no time to lose for interested parties.
What does NAB Horizons involve?
The program itself is run as a course over four sessions, plus one on-site visit. There are several aims to the course for the attendees:
- They will understand more about what it is like to work in banking
- They can talk to industry experts to find out more about banking and finance
- The can understand how their current skill-set may translate to the banking world
- They will meet like-minded individuals and industry leaders in a networking environment
- They will be able to experience some first-hand experience of working in business banking
Where do NAB Horizons courses take place?
Two NAB Horizons courses are taking place, one in Brisbane and one in Sydney. Both will be held at The Academy, which is the name of the new business schools run by NAB.
The Brisbane dates are as follows:
* Monday 15th February (6pm to 8pm)
* Monday 22nd February (6pm to 8pm)
* Monday 1st March (6pm to 8pm)
* Monday 8th March (6pm to 9pm)
The Sydney dates are as follows:
* Tuesday 16th February (6pm to 8pm)
* Wednesday 24th February (6pm to 8pm)
* Tuesday 2nd March (6pm to 8pm)
* Monday 15th March (6pm to 9pm)
