Combining these two cards means you earn more points, faster. Here is a breakdown of how you earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points on eligible purchases made with these cards.
- The American Express card gives you 1 point per dollar spent, the MasterCard card earns 0.5 points per dollar spent.
- Up to $100,000 per statement period.
Points can be redeemed for a range of rewards through the Qantas Frequent Flyer store, not just flights. Choose from a range of rewards including luggage, beauty and fashion, food and wine, and much more.
Other features of the NAB Qantas Rewards Card
Aside from the Qantas Frequent Flyer reward program, this card also features:
- Up to 44 Interest free days on purchases
- A standard interest rate of 19.99% p.a.
- $65 p.a. annual fee
- Balance transfer from non-NAB cards at 4.99% p.a. for 6 months
- Complimentary Purchase Protection Insurance
- Wide range of rewards partners
- Use your NAB MasterCard® with PayPass™ to Tap & Go™ for purchases up to $100
- All the convenience of banking with NAB (such as internet banking, telephone banking, additional cardholder benefits, secure online shopping with MasterCard SecureCode, 24/7 Emergency travel assistance and anti-fraud zero liability guarantees if you have detected a fraudulent transaction on your card).
The NAB Qantas Rewards Card combines value adding card features with a rewards program that is aimed at rewarding customers for using their card as a day to day credit solution. The only drawback is the capped reward earnings after the first $3000 combined spend on the cards, which means that if you are a heavy spender who regularly spends more than three or four thousand dollars per month with your credit card, you might feel that you aren’t earning enough rewards points. For cardholders who do not spend that much monthly, this capped feature might even be beneficial, ensuring you do not overspend in chasing more airline points.
Overall the NAB Qantas Rewards Card presents some balanced credit card features, and offers accelerated Qantas Frequent Flyer points earning opportunities. If you’d like to treat yourself to some bonus air travel benefits just for spending what you normally would with a credit card, apply for the NAB Qantas Rewards Card now and start enjoying the rewards.
