Two Cards in one
The NAB Qantas Gold Card is actually two separate cards, the first being a choice of either Visa or MasterCard, and the second an American Express card.
This is probably the most widely accepted combination possible allowing the cards to be used practically anywhere in the world. There is not only the convenience of this but also only one credit limit, and one account to review and manage.
Likewise there is only one statement and you only have to make one monthly payment, instead of having to pay each card separately.
Frequent Flyer points
If it is airline reward points you are looking for then the NAB Qantas Gold Card is probably the best you will find in Australia. Whenever you use either card you earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points which can be redeemed for a large range of merchandise, gift cards and of course flights.
American Express purchases earn two points for every two dollars spent, while Visa and MasterCard earn two points on every three dollars of purchases. There are also regularly added special offers and benefits available.
Insurance
Included with the cards is complimentary overseas travel insurance so long as at least 50% of the travel costs are paid for with the card. Also included is 12 months VIP lost card insurance, which makes it much easier and quicker to report and replace lost and stolen cards.
At no extra cost an additional cardholder can be added to the account. Other benefits of the NAB Qantas Gold Card include purchase protection and extended warranty cover.
There is an excellent low balance transfer rate which scores highly in any comparison card review, and you can enjoy up to 44 days of interest free purchases with the card.
American Express Selects Scheme
The American Express card gives customers the benefit of the American Express Selects scheme, which gives great offers and deals on travel, entertainment, shopping and dining out.
