Jetstar MasterCard: The New Low Rate Credit Card From Jetstar
Jetstar has announced their brand new Jetstar MasterCard, a low rate Jetstar credit card. The launch is a joint venture between the card issuer Macquarie Bank, and Jetstar airlines, Australia’s budget airline.
The Jetstar MasterCard launch is the airlines first foray into the finance market – no doubt to rival Virgin’s upcoming products in the same.
More information about the Jetstar MasterCard:
Jetstar Chief Executive Bruce Buchanan said: “We aim to do for credit cards what Jetstar did for low fares airline travel in Australia when we launched back in 2004 – to present consumers a choice with real benefits and with a low every day rate of 10.99 per cent.”
“The Jetstar MasterCard will reward users with not only low rates, but also a really simple and valuable rewards program to earn Jetstar Dollars.”
If you get your hands onto one of these new Jetstar MasterCards you can redeem your “Jetstar Dollars” for Jetstar Flight Vouchers and use them to pay for Jetstar flights to over 50 destinations.
Customers can accrue one cent in Jetstar Dollars for every dollar spent on everyday purchases, and two cents for every dollar spent on everyday purchases on the Jetstar Platinum MasterCard.
Country Manager of MasterCard Australia, Andrew Cartwright said the new Jetstar MasterCard offered Australians another great product in the suite of MasterCard programs available.
CANSTAR CANNEX said the Jetstar MasterCard was the lowest rate credit card on the market offering flight rewards.
More Jetstar credit card features:
The Jetstar credit card also includes a zero per cent balance transfer for six months, a $59 annual fee and up to 55 days interest free days on purchases.
Jetstar, a Qantas owned airline is also working with the Qantas Frequent Flyer business to introduce Qantas Frequent Flyer points in the near future. It is estimated this feature will be available to account holders in the first half of 2010.
