Now You Can Use Your Credit Card To Order Pizza With Your iPhone
Pizza lovers can now use their iPhone and order pizza directly from Pizza Hut thanks to a new app released for the purpose. But funny enough one wonders why we need an app to do this in the first place?
Last time I checked I just needed to pick up the phone and make a call and voilà , the pizza will ultimately be delivered to me. Duh!
So what is the deal with the Pizza Hut iPhone app?
Much like the already popular US iPhone app to order your Hawaiian special, the Australian version will also have some bells and whistles to keep you entertained while you wait for your pizza – as if we weren’t already entertained plenty with celebrities’ love lives and movies galore, not to mention XBox, TV, books, work, family (need I go on?)..
If you want to see how the American’s are wasting time check out the app demo of the US version on YouTube. It seems that the offering of a free game might cover the fact that you are waiting too long for your pizza.
At this stage it is unclear whether the app will be good enough to be utilised by the population. Let’s not forget about safety and how we can protect our money and identity if the iPhone ever gets nicked from us. Oh well, before it can you actually have to own one (don’t fret, I don’t either).
The one thing you should note is that it is cheaper to order your pizza over the net than on the phone. If the new Pizza Hut iPhone app will also attract favourable order rates is left to be seen. Now please excuse me while I’m going to make an old-fashioned phone call to order a pizza (or not).
