Most consumers have applied for a credit card sometime in their lives or received unsolicited mail from institutions. One tends to think of junk mail only along the lines of catalogs, magazines, advertisements or invoices, but credit card offers (mostly unrequested) utilise an enormous amount of paper as well. Fortunately, there IS a way in which you can opt out of these credit card offers and at the same time help save trees and the environment.

The system then matches the phone number against listed addresses (although it will ask for more information if it cannot find a match). This procedure will allow one to opt out of any and all companies which use the major credit reporting services, such as Equifax, Experian, Innovis and TransUnion. Please note that the process can take a few weeks (30-90 days) and the consumer will not be free from credit card offers by companies which do not use these reporting services indicated by this method. But the good news is that excellent progress will have been made towards reducing unsolicited mail and towards saving paper. This method again will take a few weeks (30-90 days) and will largely allow one to rid oneself of most lists and again, to save the environment. In Australia, you are able to list your self with the Australian Catalogue Association, and be added to the do not deliver list.
Remember, it might sometimes feel like a very big sacrifice to make towards saving our Planet, but isn’t it, in the end, much better to have the trees in our forests, doing us a service, than to have them delivering all that junk mail to our mailboxes?
