The American Express Centurion credit card is one step up from a platinum card.
It offers features and benefits that cannot be found on any other card on the market. It is commonly referred to as the ‘Black Card’ because it is tastefully and elegantly designed in a black metallic color.

Invites are sent to American Express cardholders that have been committed to their card and are in a higher income bracket. You’ll have to have had a Platinum credit card with American Express first in order to be considered for a Centurion card.

The American Express Centurion card operates its own travel agency and will help you make arrangements for any travel needed. No more waiting on hold for travel agents that are too busy helping others to serve you. You’ll also have your own private concierge service that is available to members only. This service is open 24/7 for your convenience.
In addition, if you are booking an international flight, you will be given a companion ticket free of charge. The luxury doesn’t stop there, however. You’ll have access to a personal shopper at retailers like Gucci and Escada that will help you choose the most up-to-date fashions and accessories available. You’ll also have your tickets upgraded to first class automatically and be enrolled in airport clubs around the world. Once you have arrived at your destination, you’ll be given benefits that are available for members only at prestigious hotels like the Ritz-Carlton worldwide.
The annual fee
Although you are not required to pay this annual fee in Australia, people that reside in other countries like the United States have to pay $4300 per year plus an initiation fee that is double that amount. When you consider the benefits and perks available on this credit card, however, it really is worth it.
Eligibility
Invitations for the American Express Centurion card will be sent out to people that have a perfect credit report and a lot of assets. Users must spend between $200,000 and $250,000 yearly on the card. It is an expensive card to get and maintain but it holds a special status that can’t be found in any other card.
This is definitely a high-end credit card and one worth striving to obtain. It is a luxurious card that is meant for people that have really made a mark in this world financially.
