Qantas Joins Forces with David Jones to Supercharge Your Points Earning Capability

Qantas and David Jones announced their new partnership in conjunction with the brand new David Jones American Express Card. Available in a standard and platinum version this card is set to send ripples through the industry as shoppers can now earn even more rewards points when spending their money.

You can optimise your points earning capability when you use your card as a primary payment tool. However, you need to understand the risks because after all you are dealing with a credit card.

And credit cards unpaid start to accumulate expensive interest fees that can quickly get out of hand.

Starting today you have a choice to convert your David Jones Rewards Points to either the Qantas Frequent Flyer program or the American Express Membership Rewards Program at no extra charge.

You get for one point when you switch to Amex’s Membership Rewards or 0.75 Qantas FF points for every David Jones Rewards point.

A Simple Call Gives You the Choice You Want

As an existing David Jones American Express Card member you can choose new the Qantas Frequent Flyer Reward option by calling 1300 36 89 89.

Launched in 1987, the Qantas Frequent Flyer program has currently more than 8.7 million members across Australian and worldwide. Plus as a member you can benefit from their 500+ strong partner programs and get special deals and freebies for hotels, airlines, retailers and financial institutions.

In 2011 some 3.4 million award flights were redeemed by members last year.

If you apply for the David Jones American Express credit card you’ll be able to choose between the American Express Membership Rewards or Qantas Frequent Flyer. Both program options include David Jones Gift Cards as additional redemption options.

Store Card Members to Be Included in Phase #2 of this launch in 2013

David Jones store card members will be able to choose the Qantas Frequent Flyer program as a rewards option when phase #2 of this launch gets rolled out in 2013.
