How To Pay Off Your Credit Cards Ten Times Faster eBook Review
Posted November 25th, 2009 and last modified May 7th, 2010I was fortunate to having been given the eBook “How To Pay Off Your Credit Cards Ten Times Faster” to review.
The book was written by Greg Smith, an expert in the financial industry with 17 books under his belt to date. Since I love the topic of credit cards and consider myself to be very knowledgeable about it I was honoured to do so.
In the process of reviewing the eBook I have decided to break up the review into several critique headers to make it easier to digest for anyone.
Ease of reading and scrolling:
The eBook is very well formatted and stays easy on the eye throughout. You wouldn’t believe how important the visual aspect of creating eBooks is. People tire very quickly while reading eBooks and other online content. Using plenty of white space is therefore imperative in keeping the reader excited and willing to continue.
Greg has managed to do this beautifully thanks to his nice, but simple page layout.
Content value:
I love how Greg has weaved his common sense advice into the book while keeping facts realistic and down to earth. His words ‘YOU are responsible for your spending, not the credit card companies and the retailers,’ are based on common sense and truth. Greg doesn’t sugar coat the fact that it is up to each one of us to stay in control of our credit card debt and that the cause for most credit card evil is the so called ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ social phenomenon.”
Of course he is dead right!
He then goes on to deliver some hard-ball facts about credit card debt and why GREED is so yesterday. His credit card interest table on balances owing (page 12) should scare you enough to never get into debt in the first place.
It certainly will prove to be a great eye-opener for those of you who just don’t get it yet.
