Shred Your Credit Card Debt with Schredit Card

Posted February 6th, 2010 and last modified May 25th, 2011

The innovation of the shredit card process is extremely appealing to anyone struggling to pay off mounting credit card debt.

The credit card industry is making piles of money charging interest for every month that you do not pay the full balance on your credit card. Only about one in four people do pay off their credit card monthly and those who don’t face an ever climbing balance. The shred it card is not actually a credit card, instead it is an idea, a plan for getting yourself out of credit card debt faster then you ever thought possible.

The shred it card works fairly simply. Instead of paying the minimum monthly payment on your credit card bill you have your entire salary go directly to the balance. You then use the card for all of your spending or cash needs. This way, instead of frivolously spending your extra monthly cash it automatically goes toward your debt. The shred it card salary credit will automatically reduce the balance on your card each month, maybe not completely wipe it out, but reduce it significantly. You will only be charged interest on what remains for that month. As you charge more your will not immediately start to pay interest on it. Then you will do the same with each successive salary pay further reducing your interest fees.

Fairly quickly you will see a reduction in your credit card debt. The shred it card principle works because you are paying less in interest to the point where you might even be operating on the positive side of interest rather then the negative. It makes sense to do this to pay off debt because money sitting in a savings account garners significantly less interest then you pay on your credit card balance. Instead of earning three or four percent on your savings you are saving somewhere around twenty percent in interest charges.

The process of using shredit card to pay off debt is fairly simple. However, not all credit cards will not take a salary credit as payment. If this is the case with your bank you will have to set up an automatic pay to the credit card company to go through on the day you receive your pay. The process should be simple and with the use of shred it card you can stop paying interest and stop being in credit card debt forever.
