Personal Finance Comics #5

A behind the scenes look at the making of the latest personal finance comic

Its been a while since we rolled out our last personal finance comic – but don’t you worry… because we have been developing a monster one! It’s a bit more complex than previous comics we’ve created, however, it’s almost done and ready for launch!

How a personal Finance comic is made

I thought it might be interesting to give you a sneak peak inside the illustrators room, where Francis has been hard at work preparing the next personal finance comic for you.

Inking

The process of actually producing a comic is detailed and complex. It is actually done by hand as you can see from the picture below.

Character Design

There are several stages before the inking step and one of them is character design.

Here are some of the character sketches that are going to be featured in the next comic!

Damn! I’m hot. Love it! I’m gonna be a comic. It’s like winning a grammy! :D

That’s pretty freaking hilarious! Great job on all the outlines….. Brad especially looks like a great spitting image!

Are you guys saying that since I already have a comic like picture, I’m exempt? Would be sweat if you guys built out my body and attached my head.

    Good stuff guys!

Y’all look awesome. The “comic” picture used on my business cards is from a graphic arts clip art book.

This is so AWESOME!!! I am really digging my comic self-portrait! :) I am really looking forward to seeing the comic strip itself!

I agree with Christine, except for I think it is better than winning a grammy. This is exclusive to us. :)

    Ooops, I didn’t mean self-portrait.

Christine, you’re looking foxy! EOD has quite the taught buttocks.

Haha! This is awesome work. Congrats to all of you PF super-heroes and super-heroins.

*looks at EOD’s ‘taught buttocks’. (hee hee)

Hey look! Even my mom commented (she says she’s gonna frame this stuff). Super cool! Always wanted to be hot chick in a comic!

    Gotta say, lovin’ J$’s mohawk!
