Suncorp Velocity Rewards points work by giving you various point value while spending with your Suncorp credit card. To find out how many points you earn and how it works read on.

If you are not earning Suncorp Velocity Rewards points then you are missing out on valuable redemption opportunities. If you have a Suncorp Clear Options Gold, Platinum, or Business credit card you are eligible to transfer the points you earn from the Suncorp Clear Options Rewards Program over to your Velocity account. If you do not already have a Velocity account you can become a member, for free by logging on to their website and filling out the application form. You will get your Velocity Member Number immediately so you can start earning points right away.

Earning Suncorp Velocity Rewards points

  • Suncorp Gold, Platinum, or Business credit card owners earn one Velocity Point for every two Suncorp Rewards points. 
    • Clear Options Gold Card earns one Velocity Point for every two Suncorp Points
    • Clear Options Platinum Card earns one Velocity Point for every two Suncorp Points
    • Clear Options Plus Card earns one Velocity Point for every two Suncorp Points
    • Clear Options Business Card earns one Velocity Point for every two Suncorp Points
  • The minimum transfer amount for Suncorp Velocity Rewards is 10,000 points which equals 5,000 Velocity Points
  • All you have to do to begin earning points is call Suncorp and give them your Velocity Membership Number so that they can make the transfers.

The Suncorp Velocity Rewards program is just another way to bank points with Velocity. You are even allowed to double dip and use your Suncorp card to purchase flights on Virgin Australia, V Australia, Pacific Blue, or Polynesian Blue and you will earn your Suncorp points as well as Velocity points and status credits. Once you transfer over the Suncorp Rewards points you wind up earning Velocity points twice for the transaction. You can turn around and use those points for savings on flights and upgrades or use them with one of the many Velocity rewards partners.

Earning Suncorp Velocity Rewards points is easy. Your Suncorp Rewards points are valuable because you earned them through spending. But, if they are just sitting in your account because the program does not offer you ways that you want to redeem them then you can make them even more valuable by transferring them to the Suncorp Velocity Rewards program. Then you open the doors on ways to redeem your points. With so many options for redemption to choose from it just makes sense to open the door to the Velocity experience.
