If you choose to apply for a credit card through The Rock you get to choose between two competitive options. How do you spend on your card? You could take advantage of premium features or be supported by a low rate.

  • Low rate credit cards

These cards can support your ongoing spending and don’t charge you too much if you don’t repay your balance in full. Apart from the low ongoing rate, The Rock’s Low Rate MasterCard also gives you up to 55 days interest-free on purchases if you do pay back your entire credit card balance. For the first 9 months a promotional rate also applies to any balance you bring across from an existing credit card.

Frequently asked questions

Here, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about Rock credit cards, and you can ask us a question by using the form at the end of this page.

How much time does it take for me to get my new MasterCard?

The entire process of reviewing and verifying your application and then dispatching your new card can take up to three weeks.

How can I make repayments towards my MasterCard?

The traditional methods of posting cheques and making in-person payments at branches remain. You can set up automatic repayments using just about any Australian savings or transaction account. Other options include turning to online and phone banking.

Are there any limits for balance transfers?

You have to transfer at least $500, and you cannot transfer more than 80% of your credit card’s limit.

When should I apply for a balance transfer?

Provide the details through your original credit card application, or when a Card Services rep contacts you to inform you of your application’s conditional approval.

Can I get an additional card, and if so, how?

You can get up to four additional cards linked to your primary card, and you can apply for one online, over the phone, or by visiting a Rock branch.

How do I earn reward points?

Platinum cardholders earn reward points upon making eligible in-store, online, or over the phone purchases, where every dollar spent earns 1 reward points. Additional cards linked to platinum cards also earn reward points.

How can I redeem reward points?

To redeem your reward points you can visit the Card Services website or call Card Services.

Is there a cap on the number of points I can earn?

Yes. Reward points are earned on a cycle basis, where every year, as a platinum cardholder you cannot earn more than 100,000 reward points. However, if your account is in good standing your points will never expire.

What can I get for my reward points?

Take Flight allows you to redeem your reward points for flight tickets, and you also have the option to transfer your points to a frequent flyer reward program. A number of travel and shopping vouchers are there for the taking, and you can also use your points as cashback.

How often do I receive a statement, and is there anything in particular I need to know?

Card Services provides you with a credit card statement each month. If you apply for your credit card online, you provide consent to receive your statement, and all other forms of correspondence, electronically. You can change this preference once your account is open.
