Virgin set to launch a new Credit Card in 2010

Citibank Australia and Virgin Money Australia have formed an alliance to offer a new Virgin Money credit card and financial services to Australians that are Virgin branded.

This relaunch is slated to happen in 2010. This Citibank credit card is destined to be a hit and the Australian market is certainly ready for it.

The first of these retail banking products will be introduced in 2010 and you will be able to fill out a Virgin card application then. A broad range of banking products, including credit cards will be released at that point. It is a strategic alliance that in the end, will end up benefiting Australian consumers the most.

Talking on behalf of of Virgin Money Australia, managing director Matt Baxby has stated that Virgin is very excited about working with Citibank in order to give people everything they expect from Virgin, including excellent customer service and great value on banking products. The year 2010 will be the year that Virgin can offer Australian consumers a banking alternative that is genuine. This includes the Virgin Money credit card amongst many other financial products and services.

The Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Australia, Roy Gori, which is the banking arm of Citi for consumers, has stated that this joint venture will combine the banking services of Citibank with Virgin Money’s marketing and brand expertise. He also goes on to say that this combination of efforts will be powerful and many Australians will benefit from the Virgin credit card and other banking services.

The Virgin Money credit card will offer great customer service and value to Australians. Virgin believes that there is room for more competition amongst credit cards, and is ready to give you this new card with everything you’d expect from Virgin and more.
