The Qantas Frequent Flyer program is one of the most popular travel rewards programs and is favored by most frequent travellers, since their allocation of airline miles is very generous.

Earth Credit Card FAQs
What is the difference between an Earth credit card and other cards?
All three of the Earth cards, which are available as the Westpac Earth, the Earth Platinum and the Earth Platinum, give you two cards which let you earn more points because they are both linked to one account. These cards are accepted worldwide and you will only receive one annual fee, the same rate of interest, one credit limit, and one statement for both cards.
Who is the card issuer?
Westpac is the Earth credit card provider and issuer. They do all of the credit management, prepare the statements and provide the cards. You will feel more comfortable knowing that Westpac, a reputable company, is the card issuer. This card is linked to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program since Earth promotes travel extensively.
Why is it named Earth ?
This card was given the name Earth because it is all about discovering that there is more about life on Earth and it is also about traveling. You will be able to reach your next destination much sooner by earning Qantas Frequent Flyer points with the Earth Credit Cards.
How can I see my online account details?

Can I collect Qantas Frequent Flyer points?
Qantas Frequent Flyer points can be earned if you are a member of the Frequent Flyer program and provide the card issuer with your membership number.
Points can be earned every time you make a purchase that is eligible using your card. You will receive a different amount of points depending on which Earth Credit Card you have chosen.
Can I get extra points?
Special promotions will be offered from time to time to give cardholders the chance for an extra points.
Are the points capped?
Unfortunately points are capped at 2,500 a statement cycle starting from 17 June 2013.
How can I redeem my points?
If you visit qantas.com/frequentflyer you will be able to redeem your points, or you can also call their service center on 13 11 31.
Can I make a balance transfer?
You can do a balance transfer when you are filling out your application for an Earth Credit Card. The application will ask if you want to transfer over an existing balance that you have on another credit card to your Earth card. The balance transfer cannot be processed until the credit card account has been activated.
You will only have to pay a low 0.99% p.a. for 6 months on balance transfers when you are a new customer of Earth cards. There is a minimum amount of $200 that needs to be transferred.
Fees and interest will start to grow on the amounts transferred from the day that your credit card account receives the transfer. If you want to transfer a balance over from an existing Virgin or Westpac card you will not get the exclusive balance transfer rate. Instead, you will be charged that cash advance standard rate.
Any payments made to your account are allocated first to the balance transfer and then once that has been paid off, it will be applied to purchases or cash advances.
Can I change Earth cards?
This is just a matter of filling out a new application and sending the balance from one card to the new one. If you are interested in getting a higher credit limit then you may want to apply for the Earth Platinum which has an $8,000 minimum credit limit, Westpac Earth that has $1,000.

If I have a nil balance on say the 10th September and my payment date is the 29th September and I purchase goods say to the value of $800 on the 12th September do I then have to pay this total amount by 29th of month or do I get 55 days interest free

Can I get a second card issued in my partner’s name? If so, is it free?
Hi Marion. You can get a supplementary card in your name for your partner. This is a second card that they can use freely, and it is linked to the primary account. In order for your partner to get a card in their name, they would have to apply for a card themselves. Thanks.

Hi Lisa. According to Westpac, ‘Add one additional cardholder (16 years or older) at no extra cost. The account holder (primary cardholder) is liable for all transactions on these cards and their own card.Purchases made by an additional cardholder earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points for the account holder only.’ Thanks for your question.
