This is the best credit card for travelling. No fees anywhere and great (nearly wholesale) exchange rates. I travelled the world for two months, put in $20k in advance, took money out at various teller machines with a pin and no charges anywhere. Brilliant, will still keep using it in Aus. Reward good products

The ANZ Everyday Visa Debit ( http://www.creditcardfinder.com.au/anz-everyday-visa-debit.html ) would be your best bet. There aren’t any cards which have no fee’s, but at $6 a month this is the best available in Australia.

I’m a low income student who would like a credit/debit card to make occasional online purchases. I would like the debit option to prevent overspending and I don’t want to have to pay fees. Is this possible?

Dear Lucas,
A good question. I would recommend you with a no annual fee card. I would suggest to either go for the American Express Blue card or the Wizard card above. Both have no annual fees. That way if its just sitting at home you won’t have to pay a cent.

You could go the American Express Gold card although you will need to pay an annual fee after 1 year. But you will get a lower interest rate that way.

Do you have to transfer a balance off another card?

I’m looking for a credit card that will cost me NOTHING to have sitting at home, as I am looking to be an Occasional user.
in the information that is supplied it does not mention about book keeping fees etc.
