Woolworths Credit Card Comparison
The Woolworths credit card, called the Woolworths Everyday Money™ credit card, is the first product offered by Everyday Money and it has proven to be very popular both with customers and industry commentators since it appeared. This is largely down to the rewards scheme that comes with the Woolworths credit card, which industry surveys have found to be one of the best value rewards schemes available. In fact, the Woolworth’s Everyday Money™ credit card was awarded Money Magazine’s Best Innovative Product 2009, and the Canstar Cannex five-star rating for its rewards program, May 2009.
You earn points according to where you shop. Earn three points for every dollar you spend on Woolworths Select products, excluding purchases made online; two points per dollar for every other product purchased at Woolworths Group Stores; and one point per dollar can be earned on all other purchases made on your Woolworths credit card.
Every four months, if you have enough points, you automatically receive a shopping card to spend at any participating Woolworths group stores, which include Woolworths and Safeway Supermarkets, Caltex Woolworths/Safeway co-branded fuel outlets, Big W, Dick Smith Electronics and Dick Smith PowerHouse, Tandy, Thomas Dux Grocers, and Dan Murphy’s. You also benefit from being able to pay for fuel at the pump with Epump#, exclusive to Everyday Money customers.

The Woolworths Qantas Credit Card does still offer 16,000 bonus points if you apply before 31 March 2013, are approved and make an eligible purchase by 31 May 2013.

I applied online last Thursday for a credit card. I haven’t received any response at all. Nothing. So I don’t know who to contact. I have no reference number. I am wondering if the application got lost in cyberspace. I don’t want to re apply if it has been received. I believe the Woolworths card is through HSBC. They say do call if it is an online application. What should I do?

What is the credit limit on these cards?

Is Woolworths Credit Card is the same as normal credit card which you can use in any store that you make your purchase eg. Myers, DJ, Jacqui E, Mathers etc.

Do not expect a quick turn around on this card, I applied some time late January & received approval notice 2 weeks ago after several followup requests for information and proof of identity, and the card arrived yesterday. Of course your experience may differ.

For balance transfer offers, please check this page. Information about the minimum credit limit for these cards can be found on their individual review and application pages. You can elect a credit limit when you apply for the card; however, the final say will rest with the lender, they will assign a credit limit based on what they think you can service – mainly determined by the financial information you provide during the application. If I fly with jetstar will I get to use the frequent flyer points on those flights

is visa cards accepted more world widely than mastercards.??
Hi Kym. Thanks for your question. So MasterCard say that you can use their cards in over 33 million locations worldwide and Visa have a similar number. It’s difficult to say that one card is accepted in more locations than the other, in my experience while I was overseas, merchants and ATMs accepted both Visa and MasterCard equally, although Visa has a slightly larger market share than MasterCard. How can you get a cash advance off your card?…. is it just directly through an ATM? If so, which ATM’s can you use?

Hi Ally. Thanks for your question. Transactions that are considered a cash advance are not just limited to withdrawing cash from an ATM. Some BPAY transactions, for instance, are considered a cash advance. You can use any ATM that accepts a MasterCard, however, you may be charged a fee if you use an ATM outside of the HSBC network. Hi Lim. Thanks for your question. This card does not provide complimentary international travel insurance. Qantas Frequent Flyer Points will not expire as long as you have earned points or used your points in an 18 month period and there is no points capping. Any spending on the card will earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points, which can be used in the Qantas Online Store and to purchase flights. Jacob.

Hi, does your qantas 16,000 frequent flyer card come with a balance transfer? I can’t find it written anywhere but there is reference to balance transfers throughout the terms n conditions. Essentially I’m looking for a balance transfer card that allows me to shop at woolies and collect frequent flyer points at the same time. How much is an eligible purchase? Hi Juliet. Thanks for your question. Currently, this card is not offering a balance transfer promotion to customers. There are a number of cards that let you earn Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) Points when you make an eligible purchase. An eligible purchase is basically all your everyday purchases you make on the card, including things like groceries. An ineligible purchase is a cash transaction, like a balance transfer or withdraw cash from an ATM. The real value of this card comes when it’s linked to the Everday Rewards Card. When you do this you can earn bonus QFF points when you shop at Woolworths and Woolworths Group stores. When you spend over $30 in one transaction, you will get 1 QFF point for every dollar spent (over $30). I just want to check – When using the Woolworths Qantas Credit Card I get 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every dollar spent on eligible purchases anywhere. And if shopping a Woolworths or an associated business I’ll get an extra 1 point for every dollar I spend over $30 (except Dick Smith – $50) as long as I have an Everyday Rewards Card as well. Is this correct?
