  • Submit an online enquiry to get more details or seek clarification
  • Submit an online application

While you can apply for a Woolworths credit card quite easily, it is important that you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You should be over 18 years of age
  • You should be a permanent Australian resident
  • You should not have poor creditworthiness
  • You should earn $20,000 p.a. or more as taxable income to apply for the Everyday Platinum Card, and you should earn at least $30,000 p.a. as taxable income to apply for the Qantas Platinum Card

  • Documents to prove your identity

  • If you’re self-employed, your accountant’s contact details

What happens after I have applied?

Once you submit your Woolworths credit card application you can expect a Woolworths Money representative to get in touch with you and inform you of your application’s status. If Woolworths approves your application you have to complete a legally mandated identity verification process, and you can do this by taking supporting documents to any Woolworths or Safeway store.

You can expect Woolworths to carry out a credit check at some stage, and you would, after a successful identity verification process, have to formally accept the card’s terms and conditions. After this, allow five to 10 business days to receive your new card.

What happens after I receive my card?

Once you’ve received your new credit card and PIN, you can activate it. After activation, you can start using your card like any conventional credit card, and you can make use of your card’s special offers straightaway. If you sign up for internet banking, which is free, you can use it for the following:

  • Changing the PIN
  • Viewing your credit card statement
  • Setting up direct debits
  • Paying bills using BPAY
  • Reviewing transaction history and status of credit card rewards

If you frequently shop at Woolworths, getting a Woolworths credit card could be a good option for you. As there is more than one type of Woolworths card and this isn’t the only supermarket credit card on the market, make sure to compare your options to find the right card for you.
