      Hi John,

No worries, thanks for the clarification.

You can’t deposit funds into your Woolworths Reloadable Card via an ATM.

On the Woolworths website it states that, “Reloading your prepaid card is available in-store at 1,000 Woolworths Supermarkets or BIG W stores. You can also load online using BPAY® or “Direct credit” transferring money from your bank account direct to your Prepaid card. You can also set up regular deposits from your salary to be deposited straight to your card.”

      Cheers,
      Shirley

Hi, i have just made a paypal account and I wanted to use my re-loadable prepaid Woolworth master card as a credit card on paypal. But every time i try and do it, it won’t allow me to. What should I do?

    • Staff
      Shirley | July 28, 2014

      Hi Tanya,

Unfortunately your prepaid Woolworths Mastercard isn’t considered as a credit card.

If you don’t have a credit card, you can try linking your PayPal account with your transaction account.

    Hi Shirley

I got my reloadable card for free, i didn’t pay for anything, hence why i asked the question about the once off $9.95 purchase fee.

If i was to buy something online that cost $40 will i be charged $9.95 for the fee because i will be only putting the exact amount in

    • Staff
      Shirley | July 2, 2014

      Hi First Time,

I would assume the $9.95 would be debited out of your account with your first purchase.

Best to contact Woolworths to confirm this.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

      Hi First Time,

      Thanks for your question.

The $9.95 fee (at the time of writing) refers to the card issue fee, which is a one off fee when your card is issued to you.

    Hi,
Can you please tell me how long the transactions take to show up on the account. We currently have another prepaid card, and there is about a three day difference from when we purchase the product to when it shows up on the card.
Also, how far back online can you see the account for?
    Thanks for your help!

    • Staff
      Shirley | May 14, 2014

      Hi Paula,

      Thanks for your question.

Since you need to select the CR button to make withdrawals or purchases, it usually takes 2-3 business day for these types of transactions to go through.

You should be able to see your transactions since when you first started spending on your card, until your card expires. You can view your monthly statement at Woolworths Money.

      Cheers,
      Shirley

    • Staff
      Jacob | March 21, 2014

      Hi, Kira.

This will depend on the method you use to reload the card.

BPAY generally takes a couple of business days to process, same with electronic funds transfer. If you reload at a Woolworths or Big W store, it may take less time than this.

      Thanks for your question.

I bought a number if these cards from 2 stores because I was told at both by staff THEY ONLY WORK ONCE AND THEN HAVE TO BE THROWN OUT. the staff had no idea and I only now find out that I can pay a little extra to make them reload able. Only after I had thrown out about 7! Not only at, the girl who served me at the Palmyra store, stuffed up the amounts, didn’t write down how much was on each one, and if have used them (thinking they were the amounts the staff member stated and now learn there is still sufficient credit on two of them. I can’t access em I can’t use em and I can’t use it as credit. What is going on? No I don’t have the recipes because after the first 7 i threw out which all worked I didn’t think I was going to have a problem. Something needs to be done about this! I’m furious!

    HI,
Could i get this card myself if i am 13 and a half years old? If i can, what identity do i need to provide?

I have a school photo id, bus pass, birth certificate, passport.

I also have a medicare card, And by the way, is there any age restrictions on this card?

    • Staff
      Jacob | January 3, 2014

      Hi, Dan.

      Thanks for your question.

There are no age restrictions with this card. As long as you’re able to verify your identify you can apply for one of these cards. To verify your identify, you will need:

      - Passport (current or expired within the last two years, but not cancelled)
      - Birth Certificate
      - Citizenship Certificate

You may use more than one of the following:
      - Licence issued under Australian law (e.g. Driver’s Licence)
      - Government Issued Proof of Age or Photo Card 70 points
      - Pension Card (Issued by Centrelink)
      - Foreign Driver’s Licence
      - School Attendance Letter”

      I hope this helps.

It’s a good idea to bring a utility bill with you too.

      Hi Jenny.

According to the product disclosure statement you can load your card at any Woolworths, Big W and Safeway stores, you can load your card using BPAY and you can also load the card through a direct credit facility offered through your lending institution. It doesn’t mention anything about loading your card at a Post Office.

      Hi Josh.

      Thanks for your question.

You can not make BPAY payments with this card. In order to do this, you need a card that has an online banking facility. This online facility only allows you to monitor your balance.

Hi just wondering if Im able to set up a paypal account with a prepaid paypass mastercard, because I have tried and it said it took away 2 dollars already and that i needed to check my statement. Does a prepaid paypass have a statement and if yes, where is it so I could get the four digit code to activate my paypal account?

      Hi Anna.

      Thanks for your question.

You will be able to use this card to set up a paypal account. These prepaid cards have all the same information as a normal credit card, so there shouldn’t be a problem. You will also get a monthly statement issued with information on your past transactions and additional account information. IF you would like to double check your PIN and other security information, please contact Woolworths directly.

      I hope this helps.

    Hi ,
I want to apply for a reloadable prepaid MasterCard .
I have done the online registration . And I went to the store to do the identity verification . I have completed the 100 point check as I have 140 points ( overseas passport , NSW photocard , and overseas licence ) . However the site still asks for a document for proof of address. Will the NSW photo card not be enough ( The photocard has both Age and Address ) Or will a bank statement be enough for address proof ? I do not have an Australia driving licence or any utility bill or Australia birth certificate .

    • Staff
      Jacob | September 27, 2013

      Hi Rasul.

      Thanks for your question.

You’re required to provide something, like a utility bill or driver’s licence or bank statement, which has your current address on it so Woolworths can verify your home address in their system before they send the card out.

Hi. I am here to ask you some questions. It’s for my work mate who is planning to apply this.

Is the Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard really a credit card? Or is it like debit card similar like ANZ Visa Debit card?

I just others comments and I did understand what it says here.

Then when I heard about 2 fee options like what you said option ‘B’, does this mean if the monthly fee is $1, for example: My workmate will put $180 plus $1 for each time she reload it today.

But if she reload again on the same month for example: next week, she will put $100, does it say everytime you reload money onto Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard, will the fee still $1 or the same day? Or is this just once a month fee?

      Matt | August 8, 2013

      Hi Ian,

Thanks for your comments! The Woolworths card is reloadable so you transfer your own money onto it.

With Option B each time you reload money you will pay a $1 service charge, even if you exceed the $500 amount.

This could be a good option if your friend isn’t going to reload money every month on to the card.

I hope this has helped your friend out!

      Cheers

      Thanks for your reply.

Can I ask you another question…

Once my workmate receive the Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard by mail. I know the card is like Mastercard/Visa debit card.

But if she puts money after I choose option B. Then when she asked me to put the money and buy something on the Internet.

Let’s say she spend so much in 1 day. Then after she spend on buying stuffs on American website. The left-over balance will be eg. $15 or less.

Will the Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard still work if the balance is less than $15? Then if she wants to buy more for the next time, the card will still work when the balance is still $15 or less then she adds another $50-$100 plus $1? I know it says option B (Pay As you Go Load).

    • Staff
      Jacob | August 22, 2013

      Hi Ian.

The card will work if you make purchase and you have enough money on the card to pay for the transaction. There is no monthly service fee and you will be charged a dollar when you load funds onto the card.

      Has this answered your question?

      Thanks.

      Jacob.

      Hi Ian.

It should only be two weeks. Please contact Woolworths directly to get to the bottom of this.

      Thanks for your question.

      Hi there, it’s me again…

Since I’ve talked to Woolworths Everyday Money online the one you gave me the link via email.

Then they told me that I am not a new customer, but i did told them that it’s not for me, it’s for my work-mate and she doesn’t have internet at home because she couldn’t re-apply again since someone from Woolworths Money or whatever told me that they didn’t received the application form and photocopied documents. But they couldn’t let me do a favour for my work-mate’s to find out the application status.

They just want me to tell my work-mate to talk to them since my work-mate doesn’t have the Application Reference number because I forgot to ask Woolworths store about this before I sent them via post mail. Also my work-mate can’t do it on her own if she wants to talk to them over the phone or internet. Since she doesn’t have internet.

Or is it just me if I didn’t put my work-mate’s full name and details on the back of the envelope because they didn’t receive the application and photocopied documents?

Also, when i apply a Reloadable Prepaid MasterCard on Woolworths Money website, then, at the end of the page, it says I have to verify my friend’s identification. I already did put “Medicare” card with her details except the other one was “Phone Book” which I couldn’t verify her Home telephone number, even if I put her name or her mother’s name. Then i’ve been trying too many so it’s locked which means I couldn’t find her home details on White Pages to match the same home address and same home phone number. Why is this?

Plus, the other things on the list to verify her identity, she doesn’t have Australian Passport, Australian Driver’s License (she’s not driving), etc. But how come there’s no other options like Proof of Age card, Birth Certificate, Bank Statement, etc on the Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard online application?

I still can’t complete her details she gave me hers since she doesn’t know how to do this online. I’m willing to help this for her so she can get a Reloadable Prepaid MasterCard. I don’t understand why I can’t complete to verify other things.

I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. This is the first time I ever try my best is to help for my work mate applying a Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard but since her 1st application form and photocopied documents were not received by Woolworths Money at all… It gives me so stressed.

Could you please let me know what’s going on. Thanks!

      Hi Ian.

Generally speaking, you shouldn’t be trying to apply for the card for your friend. This is because when you try to speak to the people from Woolworths, they won’t give you any information on what’s going on because the card is not for you. We don’t have access to this sort of information that can help you with your question. The Woolworths website says if you’re unable to verify your identity in person, you have to bring the documents to a Woolworths store and verify your identity in person.

To identify your identity, you will need to provider ONE of the following documents:
“? Passport (current or expired within the last two years, but not cancelled)
      ? Birth Certificate
      ? Citizenship Certificate

You may use more than one of the following:
? Licence issued under Australian law (e.g. Driver’s Licence)
? Government Issued Proof of Age or Photo Card 70 points
? Pension Card (Issued by Centrelink)
      ? Foreign Driver’s Licence
      ? School Attendance Letter”

It’s a good idea to bring a utility bill with you too.

But my workmate doesn’t have Internet to email Woolworth with her scanned documents that I scanned for her.

Plus the documents you’ve mentioned that she doesn’t have a Driver’s License, Passport, etc.

But she does have Birth Certificate, Medicare card, Key pass (Proof of Age card) and bank statement.

About her utility bill, what if it’s her mother’s name with the same home address? Can she still use her mom’s utility bill like either on water bill, gas bill or electricity bill?

    • Staff
      Jacob | September 16, 2013

      Hi Ian.

That should be enough to verify her identity.

Please check with Woolworths about the utility bill.

      Thanks.

Sure I’ll check at Woolworths about the utility bill then I will inform my workmate what she will need. I told her she will go to police station to sign the form so I can scan it for her and photocopy some in case she wont lose it.

Then I will tell her to go Woolworths next week because I’m busy this week. So I told her that she has to tell them to verify her identity in person.

      Hi Jake.

I just got home from Safeway. I asked the store about Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard. The woman at customer service in front of supermarket has just told me about Utility bill thing. She said that my workmate don’t have to have Utility bills for applying a Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard. And I just told her or showed her what you said earlier today. Then she asked “is it for phone calls?” And I said “No just shopping online and anything. ”

Then she said about just “buy another prepaid mastercard from the shelf and load it here or any Woolworths stores. That’s all you can do.” Because she said to me that she’s not 100% sure about Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard. She said that they don’t really do Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard at the store or any Woolworths stores.

She said they do training for other things like when customers are buying sim cards and load prepaid mastercards and gift cards. That’s what she told me.

I just don’t understand how come they can’t say anything about Utility bill and Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard but just a single load like Prepaid Mastercard. Then why can’t they do loading a Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard. I got so confused on what the woman at Woolworths store said recently.

      Ian.

There are two cards offered by Woolworths. One is a single load MasterCard – no identification is required to get this card.

The other is a reloadable MasterCard – you will have to verify your identity to use this card.

      Thanks.

Hi Jake. My workmate has received a text message from Woolworths and it’s approved. Finally she can wait for her 1st Reloadable prepaid Mastercard by mail.

But what will happen if the 2nd application form that I did for her on the website since it’s not complete. Can I cancel her 2nd application i did for her, because her 1st one already been approved by Woolworths.

      Hi Ian.

Call Woolworths and tell them about your situation.

Your friend may need to do this herself as they may need to speak to her to cancel the card.

      Glad it all worked out.

      Thanks.

I’ll just make sure if they didn’t receive the 1st application by post since my workmate already received text message from Woolworths that I did apply online for her.

Then before that, will my workmate have to go to Woolworths to verify her identity first before the Reloadable card comes?

Or will she have to wait for Reloadable comes to her before she will go to Woolworths store?

Did you say the Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard will be sent to her here in Melbourne from Sydney within 2 weeks or is it just 3 to 5 working days?

      Hi Ian.

It should be within two weeks.

You will have to speak to Woolworths to get clarification about the identity verification process.

Hi. My workmate keeps questioning me that if she can get her Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard at Woolworths store.

Then I told her “you have to wait for the card by mail NOT from the store”. She is so weird because she keeps asking me so many times as I told her to wait for card first.

But does she need to verify the identity to Woolworths store first?

or wait for the card first before going to Woolworths store?

Since she has 22 more days left to verify the identity with documents, am I correct?

      Hi Ian.

I’m not sure about your question.

You need to verify your identity by providing 100 point of identification to complete the application. You can not complete the application if you have not done this and the card won’t be sent out to you.

      Thanks for your question.

      Nevermind.

Can’t my workmate do it in email with scanned copies of her documents to Woolworths Money email instead of doing at Woolworths store?

    • Staff
      Jacob | September 27, 2013

      Hi Ian.

No, she will need to go to the Woolworths store herself with 100 points of identification and something which shows her current address so she can verify her identity and address before Woolworths send the card out in the mail.

      Thanks.

My work-mate texted me that she already went to Woolworths store this morning today (Saturday 28th September 2013).

She already showed them the photocopied documents with her original documents including her Medicare card, Keypass, birth certificate and other things.

Then they told her that she will receive the card within 5-7 working days which is I know she will get it maybe before October 4th or before the 9th October 2013. Plus she will receive the PIN number the next day after receiving the card.

So she asked me about documents that the Woolworths store gave her back photocopied documents and bank statement. So that means she can keep her photocopied documents. Since it’s done now. She will wait for the card and PIN number.

So i think that’s all is done.

Hi, I was once used to email you about my work-mate’s first Reloadable Prepaid Mastercard last September 2013 (last year)…

Today, she asked me about re-activating her Reloadable Master card and I told her why does she need to re-activate her Reloadable Mastercard card for? Because I asked her if she has any money in the card, she said she doesn’t know. So she checked her account on Woolworths Money website and she only has like, say, below $7.

Is this correct: If the balance is under $10 or $20, does this mean you can’t re-activate the card? I know this is silly question hehe…

Because I told her that I don’t think it doesn’t have to do with re-activating her card. It should’ve be adding extra money in her card because I told her not to spend under $10, right? I told her she can load over $20 or more. Right?

Pre-paid and re-loadable cards do not have any eligibility requirements as you’re using your own money, there are no credit checks, so approval should be quick. Hi Alice. Thanks for your question. Generally a merchant can see the name of the account, the account number and the amount of the transaction. Have in-laws overseas that we frequently send money to, was wondering whether setting up the card and sending it over to them would be an easier and cheaper way to do this. They live in a country that does not use eftpos that much, will there be a pin associated with the card so that they can withdraw money from the ATM?

      Hello Jess,
      thanks for the question.

One thing to remember about this card, and many credit cards in the market, is that they charge a foreign transaction fee or ATM withdrawal fee for making purchases when the card is used overseas. For this card the fee is 2.50% per transaction, or if withdrawing from an ATM $2.50 per withdrawal. In addition the ATM owner may charge operator fees on top of this. This card is available to use with both a PIN or signature.

      I hope this helps,

    Hi
Do you have to be 18 to apply because it says on the Woolworths prepaid MasterCard section no minimum age required.
And also what does minimum credit limit $20 mean?
    Thanks Nick

    • Staff
      Jacob | July 25, 2012

Hi Nick. Thanks for your question. It says there are no minimum age requirements; however, you must be able to prove your identity. The minimum credit limit of $20 is the minimum amount you can have on the card.

I am aware that this card has 2 fee options. One where u pay a dollar everytime you reload. The other is pay a dollar if you reload 500 dollars or more. So my question is if i choose the option where i pay a dollar everytime i reload and i want to reload 400 dollars, do i pay 401 dollars.

    • Staff
      Jacob | August 1, 2012

Hi Jake. If option ‘B’ is used and the card is reloaded as is needed, then to have a balance of $400, $401 would need to be reloaded onto the card. If the card is reloaded monthly and more than $500 is reloaded onto the card, then the $1 fee is waived. Cheers.

can you have more than 1 woolworths reloadable everyday master cards.

    • Staff
      Jacob | March 27, 2013

Hi Sherelle. Thanks for your question. The Re-loadable Prepaid MasterCard allows only one card for each person. There may be instances when you’re allowed two, but don’t count on this. If you’re looking for additional cards, you should try and non-re-loadable card, they permit multiple supplementary cardholders. Hope this helps — apologies for the delay in my response. Jacob.

Hi, I’m wondering if these cards are available to purchase in bulk. They would be very valuable to clients of our backpacker hostel. Thanks

      Hi Adam,

Unfortunately, the application process for this card is treated the same as a Credit Card application process, and you have to apply for each one individually. Cheers.

Can the card be loaded via another credit card ? eg anz credit card

    • Staff
      Jeremy | May 18, 2012

      Hi Melissa,

Unfortunately you can’t reload this card using a Credit Card as that is considering loading credit onto credit. You can only reload using Direct Credit, at Woolworths, Safeway, Big W or online through B-pay. Hope this has helped.

      Cheers

Hi Kathryn. Thanks for your question and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. According to the terms and conditions, ‘MasterCard Rules and Regulations impose time limits after the expiry of which we are not able to reverse a transaction. The general time limit (taking into account our internal processing) is 45 days after the transaction. It is your responsibility to carefully review your transaction history. If you are entitled to a refund for any reason relating to a Card transaction, you agree to accept the refund under the policy of that specific merchant. Refunds may be in the form of a credit to the Card, cash refund or in store credit. If the Card has expired or has been revoked then this may not be possible.’ Jacob.

    • Staff
      Jeremy | February 10, 2012

      Hi Helen,

Thanks for the question. There is a fee for the actual card itself. You can go down to any Woolworths, Big W or Safeway and get the card in person – this will cost you $2.95 or you could apply online which will cost you $9.95. You will be charged 2.5% over transaction fee if you withdraw past your limit. Cheers.
