Woolworths Everyday Rewards: Earn Frequent Flyer Points While You Shop

Posted February 1st, 2010 and last modified March 25th, 2013

Find out how you can earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points for using your Woolworths Everyday Rewards card at Woolworths stores and partner stores. Learn about the great rewards you can then get via the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program.

Woolworths Everyday Rewards are earned on your Woolworths Everyday Rewards card when you shop at Woolworths Group stores or partner stores. Cards are available from participating Woolworths or Safeway Supermarkets, BIG W stores or BWS stores.

Although some people only use a Woolworths Everyday Rewards card to store their fuel vouchers electronically rather than dealing with paper dockets, you can put it to further use by linking it to a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. If you don’t have one already, one can be yours for free by visiting everydayrewards.com.au. This saves you the $82.50 joining fee, which is not to be sniffed at.

All you then need to do is register your card online, set up your account and start shopping.

Your Woolworths Everyday Rewards card will earn one Frequent Flyer point for every dollar over $30 spent in one transaction at Woolworths/Safeway Supermarkets, BWS stores, and BIG W stores, and one point for every dollar over $50 spent in one transaction at Dick Smith and Tandy stores. You can also earn one Frequent Flyer point per dollar over $30 spent in one transaction when shopping online at Woolworths Homeshop, which has recently undergone a makeover and is now simply called Woolworths Online.

How to redeem your Woolworths Everyday Rewards

Once you have accumulated sufficient Frequent Flyer points using your Woolworths Everyday Rewards card (and any Qantas-linked credit card you may have), you can redeem them in the following ways:

  • Qantas & Partner Classic Awards – Use your Qantas Frequent Flyer points for a one way, return or multi-destination Classic Award flying with Qantas and its 25 partner airlines
  • Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Awards – Points can be used to book any available seat on any Qantas or Jetstar flight with a QF or JQ flight number
  • Qantas Frequent Flyer Store – The Qantas Frequent Flyer Store has over 1,200 products to choose from, including many major brands
  • Gift & Travel Vouchers – Redeem your Qantas Frequent Flyer points for gift and travel vouchers for use in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Store and elsewhere – including Woolworths!
  • Flight Upgrades – Use your points to upgrade your seat on Qantas domestic and international flights
  • Qantas Club Membership – Use your Qantas Frequent Flyer points to gain access to 250 Qantas Club, partner airline, and associated airline lounges worldwide
  • Points Plus Pay – This allows you to pay for part of a reward with points and top up the rest with a credit card payment

To start accumulating your Qantas Frequent Flyer points with no membership fee to pay, just grab yourself a Woolworths Everyday Rewards card. You never know how far it will take you.
